Hi All!

Just wanted to let you know that making dining ressies for the week after Thanksgiving when I am going was a nightmare. All the best places are booked up thanks to the free dining addon Disney is giving non DVC guests.

Cindy's-Booked
Mama Melrose/Fantasmic-Booked
Coral Reef-Booked
Le Celluier-Booked

If you are going in early Dec and have not made your dining ressies...DO IT NOW!

Bill

The 120 days in advance booking window is great....eh?

Free dining in December? I thought it was over by then? I bought the dining plan for Nov 26 through Dec 2....

Yes, I think free dining was over at the end of September. If not, then I want my free dining for my November 28-30 trip! :teeth: I made my ADR's about a month ago, and got the Crystal Palace for 3:50 for the 28th (MVMCP night). That was the latest time, and then Coral Reef for the 29th for a late lunch. Bill, did you mean that they were booked up because of the Holiday Processional packages? Maybe I'll see you there! :thumbsup2

yes it's 180 days now. I am 171 days out and already made my ADR's

Looks like I am not the only planning but out there! Part of the fun of Disney for me is it is such a plannable place to go with out the feel of being rigid.

Anyone else ready to join planners anonymous?

Then they need to change their recording because I called today and it says 120. Some places are as tight as 30 days still (Bistro De Paris).

The CM I talked to to make my ressies said that the heavy booking was due to the free dining they had offered. I have no idea when it expired. I had a hell of a time getting the Fantasmic any time after 3:30.

I guess the DVC owners get screwed on the freebies, but our homes do cost a lot less that otehr guests.

I made a room ressie for my brother today at POFQ and was told it was the last passholder room left there. Our stock should be doing very well if off season they are selling out and fully booked for dining..

Best wishes to all and to all a good night!

I agree!! Misinformation is unfair to non Diser's!!!

It changed about mid October last year ... I found out on HERE!! :disrocks: I was literally 180 days out from my April Spring Break trip and I was able to book everything I wanted at 180!

You'd think they would offer the same freebies to the DVC owners when they come home as they do other guests. It kinda sucked when they began allowing anyone who lived anywhere to buy AP's. Now the rooms that used to be held for AP's or Residents and snapped up so fast you can hardly get a res at a discount.

I think that DVC owners should get discounted regular resort rooms just like FL residents and AP's (most of us are AP holders anyway) since technically we 'live there' eh?

I'm trying to upgrade from a one bedroom to a two bedroom now and hope it comes up on the wait list. I have the POFQ room for my brother but it's nicer sharing the same resort.

Best to ALL!

Bill

Just booked a trip for Vegas next month and am very excited! I have never been there before - anyone have any recommendations - places to eat, a show, the best drive through wedding chappel?

Thanks!

I've never been to Vegas either, but hope to go soon. My BF loves it there, so I'm sure that will be a place we go soon. Let me know what special places you find there.

Been there amny times. It can be fun, not as much fun as Disney World, but fun all the same.

The comedy clubs are great.

Restaurants....any of the upscale casinos have great restaurants. Buffets are everywhere. Bally's, Belagio, Venetian all have super ones. Circus Circus is much cheaper and decent food wise. Riveria's is great and resonably priced.

Shows...depends on what you want to spend. You can see great lounge acts for free or shows at the lower end casinos for under $20 that are great.

Wander....see....enjoy.....gamble, but set a limit.....and avoid the Chapels unless you intend to use them or are just checking them out for 'future' possibilities.

Despite what the ads say, sometimes what happens in Vegas DOES follow you home :)

Best of luck!

wedding chapels comment was tounge in cheek, but ya know, a few maragaritas and how can someone turn down getting married by Elvis in a white jumpsuit...especially if it comes with say $20 in chips or something.

;-)

don't knock it. You know from our previous conversations I WANT to get married in vegas by Elvis.

Thanks for the info Mickeysbestfriend.

As for weddings, like I said my comments were in jest...i think everyone has their own idea of the perfect wedding. I would defer to my Disney Princess as I know women (Not all, but most) tend to plan these things out their whole lives.

For me, the perfect wedding is just being there to marry the one thats perfect for me. Does not matter if it's Vegas, A Church, A Beach....

Why is this thread hopping some days and just completely dead other days?

Because "I owe. I owe. So off to work I go."

:teeth:

I just can't sleep late anymore. Gotten so used to getting up early, esp. now that I need to drop DD off at school at 7am to avoid ugly congestion at the drop-off point at her school (it's an old school near downtown and the only entrance isn't conducive to a smooth flow of traffic).

Heck, if I sleep until 9am on a weekend I feel like I've wasted half the day away!

'course, this all means I don't stay up so late anymore so my screenname isn't so accurate these days. ;)

Isn't that the truth!! I'm lucky if I sleep until 6:00 or 6:30 on weekends. I know there are people that can sleep in on weekends - my BF is one of them - even though he gets up at 3:00am on work days, but I just can't sleep in. No matter what time I go to bed the night before, it's usually between 5:30 and 6:30. Ugh!
