Hi folks,
It looks like some of us will actually get to meet face to face in the next couple of months. For the rest...is there any interest in trying to find places for a quick get-together between our trips to WDW? I know we're pretty far spread out geographically, but I would think we could find some reasonably central locations for folks who aren't too far spread apart...I know there's a NY/NJ/MA and I think CT subset for example. Thoughts? I mean, I know it's not Disney, but it might give our typing fingers a break. :teeth:

I definitely think it's something worth trying to arrange and I'd be glad to help.

I am in Canada but depending on where and when I am not far away...may be interested.

I suggest Niagara Falls because, well I'm lazy and its 20 minutes away.

You know, I've always wanted to see Niagara Falls. :thumbsup2: It's a bit of a drive for me, but do-able. Anyone else?

It's an hours drive for me...I think with some careful planning I may be able to make it!! :teeth:

Some say niagara falls is very cheesey -- also may be fitting for this group!:teeth:

Ok, I'll bite too! I'm a 31 yo single mom, never married, getting ready to make that first Disney trip in 19 days!! I've loved all things Disney my whole life and am finally able to go! I'm a Marylander and would love to find a Prince Charming who understands what it's like to believe!

Aww man. I wanna go!

By the way, I got a coupon for Carowinds the other day wand was thinking you should be coming here sooner.

I'm so glad I found this site! :) Not everyone shares this Disney love

I'm a 32 (soon to be 33 in WDW!), never married, singlemom of a wonderful (&Disney lover) 9-yr old son. I'll be travelling with mom & son for Easter break!

Will post picture as soon as I figure out how to do that! :confused3
Meanwhile, PM me & I'll email you a picture (that I know how to do!) :wizard:

Chell,
I take it the Carowinds coupon expires before July? Believe me, I'd rather do the coaster road trip before school lets out and the lines get long, but I'm using the NC conference as the excuse, and to make part of the trip deductable.

Yeah it is good until the end of May. BUT I was just looking at their website. Off to PM you now. :cool1:

The falls are only 6 hours from me but I doubt I'll be able to make it. Works keeps me pretty busy :( and driving 6 hours in my free time isn't all that appealing after driving 4-7 hours a day during the week. Meeting some of my roomies though, would be great :) I heard there was a Mouseum on the East coast somewhere.....maybe a pilgrimage there someday....

Hugs to all and keep the magic flowing!

Now THAT sounds even more exciting....

I would travel all the way from Texas for a Disney Collection!!!!!

:woohoo: :rolleyes1 :woohoo:

It was the families first trip ever to Disney World. They had saved and saved for years to be able to make the journey but now it was all worth it. They stood in front of Main Street Station stunned by the sight that presented itself to their eyes. The one and only, Mickey Mouse, had come out to welcome them to his home. The mother watched as her two children rushed into Mickey's arms and hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. Tears of joy flowed from the corner of her eyes. So this was the Magic that the commercials were talking about. She couldn't imagine a better way to start their experience. Even her husband had a tear in his eye. It reminded her of the ones he shed while paying for their park tickets....

And they say I can't write....Phooey on them!

Anyone going on the Dismates chat tomorrow night? Had a sad day today. Had to drive my daughter to the airport. She's going to be stationed in Korea for a year. Definitely need to find that Prince Charming....well, some good friends will do also.
