Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

Sorry in advance for asking a question I'm sure has been asked a gazillion times, I've tried using the search function and Google but can't get my answers.

I am debating booking the PoP "ghost" reservation, we are staying at CSR, but I want to participate. We will pay for the room, just not stay in it.

1) We arrive 9/21-if I book this for 9/21, RO, do I need to physically check in over at PoP for the band to be activated? Is it going to be an issue that my name is on 2 reservations at 2 different resorts?

2) We are staying at CSR on a free dining package starting on 9/21. I think I've seen that AP holders have access to the FP+ on the second part of a split stay at a non-testing resort-will this hold true for package tickets? Can or would CSR be able to program the band to work the door, tickets and for charging? I'm confused about how if you don't use the band at the turnstiles, how would you have access to the FPs you schedulded :confused3

Thank you!
I have a stupid questin lol..we are flying do i have to take the box out of my carryon seperately for the tsa people or can i just leave the bands in my luggage to be xray scacanned?

No one knows for sure what will happen with ghost reservations, but this thread shares one person's experience with a split stay. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3160394

I booked a ghost night and things fell into place to actually allow me to change my flight so I will actually be using the room now, yay!

Just wondering... will Disney honor our BOG FP+ lunch reservations?

I kind of feel like we're doing this "through the back door" so to speak, but maybe I'm way off on this. :confused3

Here's my concern:

1) Disney didn't invite us to partake in this BOG FP+ TEST. (the reservation site clearly clearly describes this as a test)

2) Even though we can make these BOG lunch reservations, I'm not sure that the BOG restaurant is able to handle all these new FP+ reservations. I mean, I wonder if Disney setup this site and sent out a specific number of invitations to try the FP+ lunch reservations. ...but now, we've found a direct link and started adding a whole bunch of new additional reservations they weren't planning on. :confused3

3) We're using our luggage tag reservation number to get access to the reservations. :scared::idea: This seems weird, even though it works. The reservations don't show up on our reservations summary, no confirmation email, etc... I'm wondering if these reservations will really be linked to our Magic Bands...

Thoughts? Has anyone used this "back door" approach and actually had it work?

BOG is separate from the FP+. I have heard many reports that it works. They go by your name. once you get a ressie them you can go back and check it--that was you know it is in the system. It is quite legit!

because it is not associated with the FP+ or regular ADR's then you will not get a confirmation number and it will not show up on MDE. Just make a copy of the confirmation page-just to have

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I already setup my FP+ reservations for BOG and all looks good, but to your response above (bolded part)... You say that you've heard many reports that it works... I totally believe that, but was that for folks formally invited to try it out (when they checked into their resort, or by a Magical Express CM?) ...or was it folks that used the direct link to BOG FP+ reservations like we've used in this thread? :confused3

Just curious I guess.

My official invite was just delivered via UPS! We are 17 days out from our RO at POP. As a side note I am having a lot of issues with MDE today.

ETA- and just now my email invite came.

I was refering to people who did the link--no FP+, no invites. There is a whole thread on it
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3149450

I did it and have gone in to change things-so I know I am in the system. I will be doing BOG on Sept 4--got ADR for 11:45-12:00 How perfect is that. original was for 11:15-11:30. I printed off my confirmation page--you won't get an email or anything.

24 more days and we were able to customize our bands and set up FP+ for all our days at the park.

What an ordeal. Looking at the times and making sure you select something that doesn't overlap your dining reservations.

I am interested to see how it works out - most importantly we are just excited to be going.:cool1:

Yes! I received an email Monday along with a UPS delivery. Monday night we customized our bands and this morning I had an email stating the bands were delivered. When my DH went home for lunch today he said "the bands have arrived". So that took no time to get them!! We will be at Poly September 5 - September 9, in 15 days!!

It wouldn't let me add FP+ because it said I don't have valid admission. My DH and I both have 4 day PH and we booked a package. I do have a detailed confirmation letter that even shows our room requests that I am taking to make sure they have everything correct. The FP+ doesn't interest me too much, I'm more of a "let's see how we feel" kind of planner. We have 1 ADR per day, we had 2 ADR's on 2 of the days but that even seemed to constricting to me so I cancelled them.

News that I haven't seen anyone report:

I was able, this afternoon, to make FP+ selections for... 9/30!

I did Epcot. Looks like they are populating RIGHT NOW because some of the parks just give you a blank page with no selections to choose. 9/29 seems to only have DHS populated at the moment (and it just has the post-9/24 selections, not the full set).

But in any case, the "No Fastpass+ Selections are available on this date" modal is a thing of the past. :thumbsup2

EDIT: MK just came online for 9/29 will the full set of attractions and I was able to confirm my selections. I still think FP+ is overplanning, but it sure is fun to watch things unfold --- makes the time before checkin fly by much faster.
