Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I just got an email staying that I am testing MM+ for my Sept. trip, 5-8, at Pop. I have Annual Pass, so I have made my Fast Pass + reservations. Idk if the AP has anything to do with this does, I have heard it was. The email did state that it was the second phase of testing.

AP has nothing to do with being picked for test.
It's the resort and date range of testing

We'll be there from 9/22-9/27 staying at POR. We haven't gotten any official notice of the testing, but I logged into MDE last week and was able to chose fp+ selections, and the next day I was able to customize the magicbands. Looking forward to testing!

Will be staying at POR from 9/22-28. Have been checking My Disney Experience page and have not received any email or invitation via UPS informing me that I would be able to get a MagicBand.

Saw a post that POR was now being included in the "testing" and went into my page, clicked on the MagicBands icon and low and behold - was able to customize my band!!

It did have a notice on the MagicBand page that today was the last day that I could customize my band, so thank you to the person who had posted about POR participating.

I do have a question - Does anyone know what the FP+ for quick service restaurants means/does? I don't see that as a selection when you click on the FP+ Icon.

The only qs restaurant that I was able to book was BOG, I went to beourguestlunch.disney.go.com and used the confirmation # for magical express to log in and it let me choose.

Our Magic Bands came today. I customized them on Monday. We check into POR on September 19th.

We peeled the gray part of the band off for DD 10. I might peel mine off too. As it is my little connector thingies fit into the first pink hole and the last gray hole. If I try on DD's, with no gray part, they fit into the last two red holes. I think it's more comfortable without the extra bulk of the gray part. Either way, I don't find the band comfortable, and I'm in my 74 degree living room. In the 92 degree Florida humidity, I can't imagine leaving it on all day. I also don't like the angle of the "lump" on the top of the band, where I guess the chip is. It's very rigid and makes the fit somewhat awkward. I strongly suspect they will end up in the backpack.

I like FP+ for our late arrival day, as we can still ride our top three attractions, all within a little over two hours, if we want to. I don't like that while I am in bed trying to fall asleep at night I am running through my park days in my head, trying to get the timing just right so we aren't backtracking too much. Of course, that was an issue with regular FP too. I just didn't have to plan it out in advance.

I see positives and negatives in this, but since I ultimately don't have much choice in whether or not to use it, LOL, we'll deal with it. I hope I end up LIKING it.

Can anyone confirm that Art of Animation is part of the Sept. testing? I had tossed the idea of making a "ghost" reservation at POP, but as I was talking to DH he said we should actually just the 10 hours straight to Disney instead of stopping along the way! Problem is we've stayed at POP before, and didn't like it, but would LOVE to try AoA! DH, and Dkids are drooling over the pools.

Yes it's part of the test. LM rooms might be sold out though.

Were staying @ the same place and same days! Today is our last day to customize also, I don't remember seeing an opinion 4 qs meals but my internet has been down 4 a few days... I will check @ work 2mrw.

Why can't I think straight??

I have two adults and a child that won't ride, we'll say ToT. There is no need to do a FP+ for the child, correct? Or do I need to if we plan on doing Parent Swap? And do I need to select BOTH adults or just one since at the FP+ time we'd get a parent swap FP?

The usual method would be to get a child swap pass and then 1 parent can go using FP(or FP+) and the other parent could ride using the swap pass. I think even of this is not how they would want you to do it in the future, for this testing time they will likely say ok for now, but next time do xyz.

You could do that. If I remember tomorrow I'll ask at the parks and see what they have to say.

I am sure it is like it would be with the normal parent swap. If both adults are planning I ride, BOTH adults have to have a FP. They will scan both FP at that time and then give the swap card to the adult not riding at that time. I can't imagine it will be any different for FP+.

So I booked a ghost RO res at Pop, customized and received my MBs. I booked FP+ options with no problem for our entire trip. I then canceled the room at POP to see what would happen. My access to FP+ was gone immediately but I could see my MBs on the account. I then rebooked a room at Pop. All of my previously booked Fastpasses were still there.
I intend on keeping the room this time, but if you cancel, I wonder if your Fastpasses would still work? You couldn't make any changes, of course, but do they still exist in the system? Just something to ponder!

So you're saying that the cast member will take both the parent swap card and the FP paper/swipe for the second ride? I don't recall the cast member ever taking the second adult's FP paper along with the parent swap...

This has never happened. Defeats the entire purpose of rider swap. LOL
