Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I like the way they look with the grey part on...but my wrist is just WAY too small to keep it on so I had to peel that part off. I only have 3 holes left on the band...didn't realize my wrists were so tiny...

I am in the same boat but I did know about my unusually tiny wrists. I had the hardest time trying to get those chunky colored watches to fit. I think it "looks" better with the grey border but it's too big. So now mine will look like my 10 year old's.. greyless. I think I will eventually get over it.:rotfl:

I got my bands today!!! I'm so excited!! My wrist is small but if I take the grey off it will be tight. Maybe I will cut off some of the extra? Oh well, I'm too happy to worry about it!

I haven't checked in yet & I received my bands today. In fact the email invitation came around 5:30 am, five hours later I had the bands in my hands.

I happened to check MDE & found I could pick my FP+, so I did, then a couple days later the customize the MBs appeared. Disney doesn't seem to be notifying anyone very well. I learned about this when I found out about getting reservations for BOG lunch on another Dis thread. Glad I checked or I would have missed the whole customizing thing.

I have yet to receive an email. I made our fastpass reservations last week and have modified them several times and I customized our magic bands on Friday. Our magic bands arrived today and are sitting on my kitchen counter (we haven't tried them on yet). Did I mention that I have not received a single email about magic bands or fastpass+ ?

First and foremost I want to apologize to everyone for going off on a tangent rant the other night. It just really struck a nerve with me when my ghost reservation was equated to hiring a handicapped person as a tour guide so I could gain front of the line access. I still have my "ghost" reservation and have already paid in full for it so I can participate in the MN beta test.

I want to share something about my experience with my reservation with everyone. I have been told man conflicting things by MDE tech support over the past few days, so I decided to call Kidani direct. I googled phone number for Kidani and called the number that came up. The following is my conversation.

Hello Animal Kingdom Lodge, can I help you?

Yes, is this Kidani Village or Jambo house.

Sir Kidani is the first floor and Jambo is the second floor.

They are two separate buildings.

Sir, the first floor is the lobby, the second floor is Kidani and the third floor is the Jamo Villas.

I am sorry, but they are two separate building.

No Sir, they are the same building. You use the same check in desk for both buildings.

Can I ask where you are located?

I am at Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge.

Can I ask, have you ever been to animal kingdom lodge? They are two separate building with two completely different check in desks.

She then coped a real attitude me so I hung up. After doing some additional research, I discovered that I was calling a call center in Tampa. UGH!

Hi All,

I have a 1 night reservation at Pop Century on Sept 2nd and then a 9 night reservation at CSR Sept 3rd - 12th. I am thrilled to hear the report from SSR that the MagicBands are fully functional after a split stay.

My issue is that my MagicBands are missing :sad2:

I received a shipment notice, they were supposed to ship to CSR because we are arriving VERY late at Pop and we have had nothing but bad experiences with late evening check-in.

First, I was provided with an invalid tracking number. UPS was no help. Disney IT was no help.

Second, when someone from Disney IT finally tried to be helpful they confirmed that the MagicBands had indeed shipped to A resort, but they have no clue which one. Coronado cannot find them. Pop cannot find them. My APs are active on these bands and I have no tracking number and everyone is clueless as to where on earth they might be.

I simply want to know which resort they are at so that I know where my APs are. I'm happy to pick them up at either resort at this point. The odd thing - MagicBands are not supposed to shipped to the resort until within the 10 day mark...yet I am 14 days out. :scared:

FYI I was able to reserve a FP+ for ETWB at MK on September 26th, wasn't available until today so they are adding options at MK for the late September crowd. Also saw many more options like Pirates and Magic Carpets that weren't there before. No parades or fireworks yet.

Awesome thank you for sharing I have been waiting for this!!! Off to try it now.

I just saw this thread and didn't get a chance to go through hundreds of pages, so please bear with me. We're coming 9/25-10/3. We have annual passes and staying on site. How do we get magic bands and get fast pass +?

Thanks!

Which resort? Not all are part of the test but you are within the dates.

Quoting Myself to EDIT:
Ok, so my MagicBands that were shipped today have been changed to "LOST" and a new order has been placed that will now ship to Pop Century.

I think the more I read the more confused I get.

My latest question. We have AP Vouchers and are supposed to pick up our tickets at Will Call. I have linked the will call vouchers to MDE. After we check in to AKL - Kidani I plan on going to a Guest Relations window to redeem my vouchers. I expected to be handed AP green cards. Will I be?

I ask this because we have a split stay and I think we are part of the test at AOA, even though we haven't been notified. I did order magic bands. Will my AP's be automatically loaded to my MB?

I thought my MB wouldn't be active until I check in to AOA (and we couldn't use them at Kidani for anything). We planned to continue to vacation as normal until we checked in to AOA, then we would wear the bands and test them out. I didn't think they would be active until then. Does the CM do something at check in to make them active? I can't make FP+ until our check in at AOA.

LOL Definitely :cheer2:

My stress level was off the charts today :scared: I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone (UPS or Disney IT) and I knew my MagicBands were linked to our APs, which have not yet had a biometric imprint on the new RFID entrance points. Which means if they were "found" while still active that someone else could have hypothetically entered the park on MY AP. :sad2:

We are at 17 days out. And today we received the formal invite from Disney to participate in the MB. We already received our MB but it was really cool to get the formal invite from UPS today.

Sorry to hear you have issues with your shipment... I did the same as you did and mine haven't been shipped yet!?! Did you try to call the convention center at CSR. I have been shipping things at CSR in the past and it always been received in a small office (where they only do shipping and receiving) in the convention center. Good luck with it! Could they deliver another set of MB?

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work like a traditional UPS shipment. When the factory in Memphis processes the MagicBands and see a resort address they send the MagicBands as part of a group of orders. This is how our bands were lost. You cannot ship the MagicBands to a resort other than a testing resort as of right now.

Right now there is a 95% chance we will arrive on Sept 2nd and a slight chance that we will arrive Sept 3rd (travel plans are up in the air at the moment). Either way I am keeping my Pop reservation. Worst case, if we arrive on the 3rd I will simply stop by Pop and give them my Sept 2nd reservation info to pick up my MagicBands.

We have 1 night res at POP on 9/19 then MYW for 7 nights at WL 9/20 - 27. my parents have 1 night at POP 9/20 and 6 day MYW at CBR 9/21 - 9/27. We both have MBs ordered, but my order only shows the POP res and my parents shows both of theirs. Should I call to have both attached also, will I be able to use MBs at WL and in parks with my WL res? Thank you
