Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

So weird! And you were able to actually choose attractions for that day? We are there til 10/5 and I can only choose our first day 9/28.

While I can understand everyone wanting to be part of the newest, greatest thing at WDW, I can understand why Disney isn't making it available to everyone, at every resort yet. Way too many people impacted then. Do you really want there to be a huge negative impact? I can just see it now...so many complaining...'Well, if it wasn't ready to go yet, why the heck did they let everyone use it? My vacation was so messed up because of those danged FP+ things!!!'..it always happens.
Do I care if I get to be a test subject in Sept? Nope. And if it's not up and running in Nov? No biggie. Same for Dec! I would rather have my stay run smoothly vs having glitches every time I tried to do something with those stupid magic bands or FP+.
I know that I am in the minority here, but it just isn't a huge deal to me. It will be available when it's available.

I hear you...I'm only in if we can still get the traditional FP. I'm not a big fan of FP+ but I want to stay informed because Disney is very weird with giving out information. I get most info here. If it wasn't for this board I would miss out on A LOT.

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to the MB. If I get it good and if I don't it will be OK too. I was hoping to able to pick the parades/wishes/fantasmic! for FP+ but it's not showing up. Maybe soon

Arriving Sept 14th & can make my FP+ selections today too!! No email, just checked after reading this thread. Hope I'm making the right decision going with the FP+ & not sticking to the traditional FPs. I never even discussed this with DH so I don't know what he would prefer. I know testers have been able to "double dip" but I'm not expecting that.

Anyone know: if I cancel all my FP+ selections, can I still do regular FP, or did I just give up that option by making selections??

No MagicBand option yet. I really don't know if I want to wear a band. We have APs right now that have the RFID already. I really liked that, we had no problems in May, everything was quick & easy as far as park entry & FP. It would be nice not to have to fish the card out, but don't know if I want a tan line!


Forgot to add: we have a split stay: YC 9/14-18 then GF 9/18-21. All dates are available to me for FP+.

More options were added on my FP+ choices for EP on 9/21. Last night I only had like 4 and now like 11. Don't everybody rush to get their Captain EO FP!!

Might want to check your itinerary for 2 days out (8/17 or 8/18) to see if you have anything scheduled for then. Maybe you added fireworks or something as a planned item (not FP+)...

But as a fellow CBR with 9/8 arrival, i'm hoping you're right about your wishful thinking!!!

On my itinerary page it says you can start making fastpass+ selections beginning sept 22, 2013. Does anyone else get that under their itinerary?

We are staying POFQ too...NOTHING has changed on the site for us. When is your arrival? We are on 9/13.

I arrive 9/22. Nothing for me either. I cant do FP+ the website tricked me. Sorry to anyone who took my post the wrong way.

Wow.. love the pictures. Pumped and wishing I was getting one. I'm all about being worried about testing but this is probably last vacation for a while so sad. But excited for you!! It probably felt like Xmas :sigh:

I just talked to my friend who is staying at POP in late September. She customized magicbands Tuesday night and got the email they are being delivered today!

I feel like every time I check MDX that I'm in Vegas. Come on All Star Movies! You can do it, you can be selected! Only thing is I haven't won yet. Gee, that is just like when I'm in Vegas.

That bums me out! I'm sept 8-14 and haven't been able to get MB yet but chose my FP+!

Starting to regret the whole "surprise the kids with the disney trip" plan. Wishing they could share in my excitement right now

Attention POR Sept. Guests
Message from Andre

I was asked to hold back on posting this until today, but Magic Bands will be issued to all Port Orleans Riverside guests for stays commencing 2nd/3rd September onward.

Emails and letters will start going out today to inform guests arriving in 18 days that they can pre-book their FastPass+ times (up to 60 days out in fact) and customise their Magic Bands (colour and name) via the My Disney Experience site. It may not be possible for Disney to contact all guests (e.g. those who have booked via some travel agents) but the new system will still apply to everyone regardless.

Continental USA guests should be able to get their Magic Bands mailed out in advance, others will need to pick them up at the Front Desk when they check in. Key cards will still be issued as a backup for the foreseeable future.

While this is still officially classified as a "test", the general expectation is that unless there are major problems this will most likely remain permanent from now on.

French Quarter will follow within the next few months.
