This is depressing I'm going to bed before I get carpel tunnel from incessantly hitting the reload button with all my false hopes

Hey thanks to the dis boards again! Found this out tonight, made our FP+ reservations for most of our stay! Too bad it won't go past 9/28, but I'm really just curious to see if they stick. I'm hoping that if we aren't able to get regular FP our first night, I can cancel the +'s and go back to the old way, but not going to sweat it no matter what!

I'm refusing to refresh. I have closed it. Instead I'm choosing to believe that we have probably hours before even these hotels will all the way come online and it would be better to check in the morning.

I'm at Poly Sept 18-21 and I made selections....Does anybody see Wishes and Illuminations choices...this is what I REALLY wanted and it's not on my schedule! I just got on though so maybe they are already taken

Haha I like this theory better. I have to defend my Master's Thesis tomorrow and *should* be doing presentation prep. Let's hope that WDW is rolling out FP+ to LOTS if not ALL of the resorts overnight and tomorrow we will all magically have access

I was able to make my fastpass picks yesterday morning, then in the afternoon, the ability to do the magic bands was available to me (staying at Pop). I don't think this is so much a test as it is the beginning of the roll out for fast pass and magic bands. It would make sense, if they opened it up to everyone at the same time, can you imagine what would happen to their servers, etc? I think it is a controlled roll out; if problems develop, they can stop the roll out, if no problems, they continue to roll it out slowly until all resorts and dates are available.

I'm really crossing my fingers that you are right! I agree that it looks like a gradual rollout and that was my feeling from yesterday. Hopefully we will know shortly!

AND on that note - when I remain on the WDW homepage is constantly shows it "loading" or "updating"....interesting...

Yes. I got to select colours, change the names that get engraved and have a notice on the MDE website that they are getting prepared for shipment. Staying at POP Sept 4-8.

Checking in POP Aug 31st.

Received our invitation to participate in testing today (8/14) via UPS overnight saver.

Invitation mentions that the test is being offered to "some Guests, and Walt Disney World Passholders like you". We are FL resident passholders.

Also says I need to customize my MagicBands by Aug 21st to have them shipped out to me at home. Online it was telling me (even before I customized) to "Act Quickly! Your order may ship at any moment."

Just finished linking my reservation confirmation number and APs to MyMagic+ and customizing my MagicBands.

I am somewhat ambivalent about the FastPass+. I did make some selections, but am not sure I am going to like this system. I read all of the FP+ FAQs on the WDW website to make sure I understood as much as possible about the system.

What I am not enjoying so far is the one park each day plan (we are hoppers!) and the scheduling so far in advance - I know you can update on the fly via FP+ kiosks or the app (but I have not at all had luck with the app, I found it extremely slow and cumbersome when I most recently used it in May) so I am not sure how "easy" changes will be.

I am also concerned about remembering what time the FP+ windows are, especially when you have booked them so far in advance. The FP paper tickets had a tangible item with the time stamped on it (plus you had just that day retrieved them from the machine, so the plans were fresh in your mind). I would like to see some text message feature or alarm tied to the app that "reminds" you that your FP+ window has arrived.

Also wanted to note, I was hoping to see Fantasmic as an option for HS, but I only had TSM, RnR, ToT, and ST as my HS FP+ options. I DID have Wishes and Illuminations options for FP+ for those who are wondering if Fireworks are available.

Makes sense....here's hoping to tomorrow being able to order our bands or log on to find all of my hard work erased because of some freak glitch...oh god i hope it's not!

Staying at AKL Club Level Sept 13-21 and was just able to access these tonight! (I had been trying for days and had no luck until now.) Woo hoo! Booked FP+ for all 9 days.
