Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I am hearing a whole bunch of people with RO reservations getting to make FP+ selections, but it's not letting me do it and we have our magicbands. Is there something I'm missing?

Do you have park tix on your account somewhere? I made a RO at Pop and was able to make fastpass+ selections, however that is only because it automatically linked my ASMo's package (and tix) to the magic band/fastpass+ system when I made the reservation under my account. It allows me to make fastpass+ selections for the amount of days my package has tix for, but no more.

It seems that having park tix are the key to being able to make fastpass+ selections, while having any type of reservation at a "testing" resort is key to getting the magic band.

POFQ isnt in on this sept test right? i just wanna make sure. there are so many pages i keep trying to keep up but its hard lol

I did online check in yesterday and was able to customize bands.... Woo hoo! :cool1:

My old paper style AP's won't link to the site though so no Fastpass+ for me. Anyone in the same boat? Is it worth a call to IT?

Once we arrive and get the tickets linked can we then select any fastpass + slots that may still be available?

Can anyone tell me what kind of box they are delivered in?
We are surprising my kids, which we always do, and I'm worried a big magical box on the porch might test our improv skills a bit! :-)
We are POR btw, staying second week of Sept.

From what I've read, they arrive in a non-descript box from Tennessee. Your secret should be safe. :)

Shipping container is just a plain corrugated cardboard box. There is no mention of Disney on the box as the bands are shipped from a company in Tennessee.

So excited to be apart of the test :yay: I was able to make fastpass+ selections and customize the magic bands after doing online check in. We're staying at POR.

I'm not sure if anyone's said this already (I don't really want to read through 10 pages!) but I emailed Disney to find out why I couldn't pick FP+ after the 28th Sept and their response was..

The reason that you are not able to select Fast Pass + features
beyond September 28th is because this is the last day of the Beta
Testing of the Fast Pass + feature. The kiosk at the rides where you
would redeem the selections will not be active beyond this date."

So from what she's saying, people who are able to book FP+ after that date were all lying? Hmmm...

Definitely not lying as I've seen it going out to October 14th for multiple people on multiple sites who booked a room at Pop century. The likelihood of that's my people picking the same date is slim. Not sure what to think about that.

Do you have a package linked to your MDE that includes tickets? You can only book FP+ if there is a valid ticket linked to the account.

I have asked and have had questions answered, and I know some of the questions probably made no sense to others. However, over the past few days I think I have the information I need. Thanks to everyone. We booked through Travelocity, I went on line and entered our confirmation number, linked family members together with the help of a phone CM, booked fastpass+, ordered our customized magic bands and did online check in! Now the wait begins - one month until we arrive at the Poly.

I didn't have any trouble linking my paper APs. They both show up as generic "ticket or pass" in the system, but with the correct expiration dates.

And another question that just hit me about tickets and multiple MagicBands...we check out on 9/29 from AKV but are going to the park that day, so our tickets will be used on the AKV stay...when we check out of AKV and then check into AoA will I be able to move the tickets from one band to the other? (Does that make sense?? LOL)

In the Magic Band FAQ on the MDE app there is info about having more than one band attached to you. Here it is:

"Multiple MagicBands can be assigned to a single person, so turning on a new MagicBand does not mean that you must turn off an existing MagicBand. All active MagicBands assigned to a person have access to the same benefits and entitlements for that person. Adding a new MagicBand does not add new entitlements, such as an additional theme park admission."

In other words the bands link to your MDE account. If you have two bands, they are both linked to the same stuff. So I don't think you even HAVE to switch bands. In fact its likely you can use either band on any day of your trip and it will work.

Hope this helps!

You need your magic band confirmation number to access and make a reservation for lunch

I called because my party is split up in two rooms and so we have two different MB confirmation numbers. The BOG website would only allow me to include the people on my room reservation in the FP+ reservation. I can make two separate reservations, but they are for different times. I called to ask about combining them, but they were all confused about how I made the reservation anyway. They said you have to receive an email invitation to be able to book a BOG FP, so mine may not be honored if I never receive the invitation. I guess the last time they tested it, it was only for YC guests. Just wanted to let everyone here know that's been making reservations, if you don't receive an email invitation it may not be honored. Doesn't hurt to try though!

I'm sure it has been discussed already, but looked and couldn't find it. What resorts were selected as tests for magic bands and fastpass+.

I booked a reservation for free dining which includes 2-day tickets. We have annual passes that we'll use during our stay so we'll just hang on to the 2-day tickets for later. Currently, the 2-day tickets and our APs are both linked to the reservation and I have been able to make fasspass+ selections for the entire week we will be there as well as customize our magic bands.

How do we make sure that the 2-day tickets won't be linked to the magic bands? I don't want to use them by mistake. Can we take care of this at check-in or will we have to go to guest relations at a park?

Thanks.

Any time we have ticket issues we go to the concierge usually. I would ask at check in who you need to speak as it may be different with the MB being used.

Ahh the infamous 2 day free dining ticket swap. We do this too. Hopefully they can remove your 2 day ticket from your room key allowing you to have room key/dining and your AP linked without risking accidentally using your 2day ticket. If the ticket has to stay attached to your key card you might have a conundrum on your hands.

Thanks for the info!! As far as getting lunch together, you can change the lunch times. I would make one reservation and then with the other if you get times that aren't close I would hit the back button on the screen and search again. That's what I did til I got the time frame we wanted.

I figure even if they won't honor it Sept isn't that busy and lines hopefully won't be that long. A lady on another board used the link a week or two ago and they honored the reservation. She said she wasn't in their computer, but she pulled it up on her phone and they let her right in to order and sit down. Def worth a shot :)
