Any Schwan's Customers ~ Free Trip ?

I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is a Schwan's customer and qualified for the free trip that they were promoting? We qualified, but haven't gotten our voucher yet. I am anxious to get planning! We are still debating on where to go.

The promotion took place between the end of September and November 30th. The promo was that if you ordered 5 times via Schwan's internet site prior to November 15th you got a free 2 night 3 day vacation. There were like 80 different places that you get to choose from. I called and asked if there was any catch, like sitting through any kind of presentation or sales pitch and I was told no.

The reason that they were doing this promo was to get people to order online so that it would free up the drivers from spending so much time with their customers. They found that the drivers could get to the customers house and deliver their order and get back out on the road to make more $$$. I totally understand the concept. We order on line all of the time because it is just so easy.

So do you all like Schwan's? I've looked into it before, but never did anything about it. Do you find it easier? Is it way more expensive than a grocery store?

We should have qualified also but I haven't heard anything. We only order a few things from them, most of it is not worth the $ to me but I made sure I ordered ahead of time on the computer during those dates.

I do enjoy some of the items that Schwans has....The rug rats taht come to my house will only eat the Corn dogs from this place......yes they are a wee bit more expensive but they are good. I also love the potato wedges and chicken fries. Their fried mushrooms are so delicious and good for a snack in the evening......also the apple pie is delicious and I can cook it in a hurry if I am having unexpected company.
I get serviced twice a month and think it is well worth the money

I had never heard of Schwan's before until Pumba started raving about their service. I just looked to see if they are in my area, and they are. They service my area every two weeks. Good to know

We use to have the BEST schwans man...he left our area to take on a district manager position with them...he was THE BEST....after he left- the poor guy that came the next week must have been bummed- cause I said "I'm sorry, your foods good, but I just can't mourn the loss of our old driver in a weeks time"..he hasnt been back...LOL...our guy use to give us free rootbeer float bars all the time.....oh man I LOVE them!

When DH use to own the trash company- they use to get schwans at their shop. There was many nights when the guys were out late- or a truck needed to be worked on till all hours of the night- they always had food to eat while they were there and us women were home complaining they were working late...DH loved the hot wings...

Our old guy is still with the company- as a regional manager (not sure if thats the name?) now- he seriously climbed the ladder with that company.

I like the food- but the cost per serving really kills any known grocery budget we might have!

I got a response from Schwan's as to when we get the vouchers and they said 60 days after the promo ends they will be sent out which should be at the end of January.

Yes, the food is a little bit more expensive, but for us we pay for the ease of having pre-paid meals on our hands. DH and I both work the midnight shift different days of the week and it's nice to be able to just grab and go.

The kids love, love, love their pre-grilled chicken drumsticks. Their pre-cooked pancakes are awesome. We also get the sirloin pot pies, potstickers, spaghetti bowls, stuffed shells, and some different hot pockets. We get an order of atleast $35 or more every 2 weeks.

Oh, and for dessert their apple crisp is wonderful.

We love Schwans!

Our Schwann man was just here and he told us the same thing....60 days after the end of the promo. Should be here soon!!


Some things are really expensive but everyting is good and it is convienent.
