There wa a ticket deal back in March; one day free when you purchased 4 or more days, and free WPF&M if you purchased park hoppers. In my limited experience, ticket deals seem to come around every 18 months.

No, they had to be purchased by March 31st, but like almost all other tickets, they don't expired until they're used. I bought six and we have family using them now.
Yeah, we got some (officially they were "25th anniversary tickets"), but many said that Park Hoppers through Undercover Tourist and other 3rd party sellers were actually better than the 25th anniversary tickets. The major benefit of the DVC discounted tickets is that there was a price increase during the time where they were offering these tickets, however the DVC ticket prices did not change, so in March the DVC tickets were better. The DVC tickets also included "Water Parks & more", so if you were using Water Parks, than the DVC tickets were better.
To be honest, I don't think the DVC discounts are going to be so awesome to be worth waiting around for them.
