Any Rumors of Ticket Price Increase?

Has anyone heard anything about a possible park ticket price increase? I know that in the past Disney traditionally raised the price around the same time period each year, but as of late it doesn't seem to follow any pattern.

Disney can keep published pricing the same but tweak which dates get what pricing tier. Disney can bury a price increase

I don't think its a rumor. Chapek confirmed this week that prices will continue to go up as demand continues. He didn't, however, lay out a specific schedule of increases if that is what you are looking for

Exactly. They could quietly raise the price of different days of the year, and if you weren't following that exact date closely, you'd never know.

Thanks for all of your replies.
My DH and I just renewed our DVC AP's but my son and daughter-in-law need to buy tickets for our April 2023 trip and weren't sure if they needed to purchase the tickets soon in order to avoid another increase. Guess we just can't predict anything these days.

IF you know you're definitely going in April, I'd buy them now before it increases.

What was the price for your DVC renewal AP?
I did not think that discount was still available.

I called MS about ours a couple of weeks ago and was told the Sorcerer's pass renewal is $813 and some change with tax. That DOES include a DVC discount.

We expire Sept 25th but will probably go ahead & renew in the next week to play it safe. I do remember August price increases back in the day.

Yep. He danced around specifics but the gist of it was due to the reservation system (was that Cheapek’s baby? The way they praise the park reservation system every single conference call makes me think it was…) Disney Parks feels they have absolute pricing power and so they will increase prices with demand and decrease them if demand drops. Seeing as Disney demand is up, up and away I’m pretty sure that means prices are going up and it will just all of the sudden happen one day.

After reading his thoughts on the topic my fam bought their tickets for an upcoming trip, didn’t want to wait for the inevitable sudden price increase.

If you already have a package booked and have made some payments on it but it is not paid off do the ticket prices go up on that as well?

Doubt prices will get lower, so I would buy when you know for sure your travel plans.

We are looking to book a package rack rate for Aug 2023 and debating doing that now to lock in prices before the inevitable increases. If I do that and down the road there are park price increases but also room discounts and I modify my package to take advantage of the room discount will I also be dinged with the park price increase? I think I probably will be but not entirely sure. We will be booking a value room so I think any potential savings would be mostly wiped out by the potential park increases.

Yes, they will readjust the park ticket prices with applying a discount. You could buy tickets through a 3rd party vendor now to lock in those prices, but that also means putting the cash out now.

We like using Boardwalk ticketing. Found them thru Touring Plans ticket calculator. They by far saved us the most $ our last few trips. For example, adding hopper (with tax) was only $72 instead of $91 thru WDW. 5 day hopper thru WDW was $686 for our next dates, and $623 thru BW ticketing. Saved $125 on 2 tickets.
