Any rumors about free dining in the fall?

I am planning on being in WDW for Halloween and I was looking at the history of offers and it seems that free dining for that time frame has historically been offered around July. Is there any way to know if they will do that again this year?? My DD and I are heading back to WDW for the third time but the first two times we did not have the best companions and quite frankly it had all but ruined the Disney experience for us. My DD refused to go back after the last trip and it has been 5 years since then. We are now calling this trip the "Disney redemption tour" and I am hoping to get the most bang for our limited bucks this trip so I would welcome any insight you all have.

Thanks for the reply! I did a bit more searching and found a thread with info on the DDP (I should have posted there but hey.... I'm a newbie, lol) It looks like I will just have to wait and see if they offer it again. I really hope they do so I can use that cash to stay another day or two!! :cool1:

There are always going to be rumors flying about free dining. Some have been encouraging and others have been deflating. The one that seems to be popping up quite frequently is that there won't be free dining at the value resorts this fall. According to the same rumor, the moderates will the QSDP and deluxes will have the DDP. As always, you will have the ability to pay for an upgrade to higher plans.

Another rumor that I heard is that it won't go thru to Oct. In the past, it has ended in late Sept. but then an extension (or new offer code) for free dining came out to cover most dates in Oct.-early Dec.

Free dining was announced on Mar. 5. last year. The current discount is available through the end of this month. I would not expect anything to be announced before Apr. 1 and it's possible that even then, it won't be for the fall.

Good luck with your "redemption"! We had a "Disney Do-Over" ourselves a couple years ago after a rough spring break with mother in law tag a long and teenage daugter w/ attitude. Went back for a long weekend a couple months later without MIL and let daughter bring her best friend along. World of difference!

Thanks for all the input! I am also already booked and will be going regardless, but it would be great to get some type of discount. My DD is now 22 so we are really going to enjoy the F&WF!! We're getting more and more excited!
