We are staying for a week in October, it will be our first trip. We have kind of a split stay with some days in a pool gardens view studio and other days in a ocean view studio. I was wondering if there are any exceptional rooms that I should try to request during online checkin?

You should probably avoid requesting specific rooms as they are all cookie-cutter identical. If you just request a room number and its not available on the date you arrive then the room assigner doesn't know why you asked for that one. Instead make your request more descriptive such as "upper floor, away from elevator".

Funny, normally I would say exactly that. But when I was there last month, we stayed on the top floor in the room backed up to the elevator and I never heard a thing. It was great. The elevators were amazingly fast and it made getting in and out lightening quick. Aulani is probably the only place I would ever request "high floor, near an elevator." :flower1:

yep, @brimorga and i stayed in the same room (#1671) a few weeks apart and i completely agree. never heard anything from fellow 16th floor guests.

We just got home from a week in a 2 bedroom lock-off on the 14th floor Ewa tower, ocean view. First two rooms past the elevator and never heard a thing from the hallway, or from outside if we had the balcony doors closed. We were in the part of the building closest to the Oleo room, so the music was fairly loud if the sliding door was open. Shut=nothing. Amazing. Rooms 1458 (1-bedroom) and 1456 (studio). We thought they were awesome rooms because of the view, the easy walk to the elevator and trash/recycling, and how quiet they were. We also had the rectangular balcony instead of the triangular ones, and the rooms were square. I don't know if that is better or worse, but the funky angles in the other rooms I saw seem like they could be smaller. I have no idea if that is true or not, though.
