Any ROFR news?

:thewave: GUYS...just had to post this. We are IN THE SYSTEM. Three days after closing...and we are really, truly IN THE SYSTEM. Got my MS number and EVERYTHING!!! I was even able to book our 1 br std. view at BWV AND our deluxe inn room ocean view at VB. Life is SOOO good right now. IT feels GREAT!! Thanks a million to Ruth, saw your post about getting your MS number just two days after closing which gave me the idea to call so early. Your luck must have rubbed off on me :yes:.

I'm sorry to brag about all this, but this has been such a long journey LOL! Boy do I feel blessed today.

For everyone else who just passed....CONGRATS.

Mike...you'll be in the system before you know it!!!

And to those still waiting...it is ALL worth it in the end.

Hey, it looks like we have some new members for the "Closing Club" ... congratulations Disney Ron, SylviaL and Plamp.

And AmyBeth - that's terrific news! It must have felt great to make your first reservations. Hopefully the rest of us won't be too far behind. I'm getting anxious - I'm going down twice (November & December) but I'll be staying with my brother (maybe for the last time).

Kind of funny ... I looked at my paperwork to see what the expected closing date was and it's Columbus Day ... I have a feeling that they won't be working that day!

Saxton, except for federal and state offices, I don't think a lot of offices are closed for Columbus Day any more (at least in the St. Louis area). Don't count that day out yet!!

How luck are you to get exactly what you wanted!!! You deserve it after all you've been through.

Question for anyone out there. We are going down in Nov. I know we won't be able to book a room that quick, but what does it take to get the discounts? We have ressies at Cape May Cafe for dinner and also will probably hit either Olivia's or RFC at AK.

Any chance of getting temp. cards while down there?

Congratulations AmyBeth! It seems like I have been reading and enjoying your posts for a very long time. I can't tell you how happy I am for you.
We closed yesterday and sent to DVC this am. I may start calling by Tues.
We want to go in early Dec, kind've a belated 30th anniversary celebration. At this point I don't care where we stay but I am praying for a miracle at OKW. What are the odds? I have a feeling zero to nill

Well, it looks like I closed - I received the member handbook and vacation planner in the mail today. No membership card, I guess that comes later. I'll call next week to see if I'm in the system yet. My projected closing date was 10/11 so it was early, I'm assuming that 10/8 was the official date since that's the postmark on the envelope.

No need to worry Mike - the package came direct from Disney, not from the realtor! It's a little strange though, all their mailings come out of GA. Back when I first thought about buying at Saratoga and I called my guide the promotional package she sent out was also from GA - I would have assumed that all the mailings would come out of FL. In the end it doesn't make any difference ... I just want to start making reservations!

I'm sure your package will come very soon!

Hi everyone!!

Well..we got a call from our realtor that we had closed!!! I don't think we were scheduled to close until 10/27. He said we might want call DVC and set up our "membership information" (I didn't realize we would be getting a new member number since we are already members...but, we are). Anyway...we were ALREADY in the system when I called!!! Woohoo!!! I am not sure if we closed today, or Fri...but, that was really fast to be in the system!!!

Anyway...I know some of you are "keeping track" on how fast every step goes...so, I wanted to post this!!!

Still no word on whether or not my mom has passed ROFR...but, at $78 per point...I am sure she will!!!

Congrats to EdDome...add-ons are SOO much fun!!!

Confession time: last Thursday we bought another contract---60 points at BW. Can you believe it? At least this time, I won't be so nuts about the wait.


Anyone else among the newbies planning to try booking the Member Cruise? I *might* have DH convinced....so glad we'll be in the system before Oct. 23rd.

Only you guys would understand what it is to jump in with both feet into water this Disney deep, LOL!

Here's the deal...I don't know if we closed on Fri., we might have just closed this morning....it was "afternoon" FL time when he called!! Either way...it is really fast in the system. I'm betting you are in there, too!!!

We closed I believe on Thur 10/7. I tried calling DVC on Monday and to my surprise I was in the system but no points transferred. The rep called me back a couple of hours later and said my points were in the system and I made ressie. YEAh!!!!!
We are going home for the first time Nov 17 OKW and then again April 29 for our son's 21st BD. Now if I could just figure out how to get a counter on my signature. I believe it's 36 days.
