Not to say the contract wouldn't pass ROFR but I think you could easily get at least $3-$4 more which would (more than likely) increase the chances of it passing ROFR. We passed ROFR in mid-August on VWL at slightly less than $73 pp + maintenance fees for 2004; we were very concerned about passing particularly since the contract was loaded. But as someone else mentioned, if you are happy with $69.50 and it doesn't pass ROFR, Disney buys it from you at that price.

Guys,

I a little disappointed with Timeshare Closing service as well. We passed ROFR and we still hadn't heard from them. So, I called today. Mass confusion; transfered to three people. Finally, the women says to me "Oh I'm sorry Disney purchased your contract" I said WHAT I was told I passed ROFR almost two weeks ago. As it turns out she was talking about the time we did get ROFR'd. The experience didn't give me a warm and fuzzy and I'll be calling back often.

Yes it did! I thought ROFR was bad, this is worse. Tomorrow I'm going to call Jason at TTS and ask him to call there himself. Two weeks is too long.

That is terrible! This whole process is stressful enough but to have to deal with added stress is completely unfair. Not that it will make it any easier, but just think how great you'll feel when everything finally comes through! Keep a good thought.

Carlos, sorry to hear you are having such trouble! ROFR can be very stressful but I've never thought that closing should be just as (or more) stresful! I would definitely get Jason involved. Good luck...

If you think that is frustrating - I was e-mailed my closing documents today and I couldn't open the files! I kept getting a message that the file was damaged and could not be repaired. I let them know about the problem, but I don't know what is next. Maybe they will mail them or over-night them.

Who are you buying from?? Is it Jaki? Her son, **** emailed me the closing docs, and the same thing happened..they were damaged and could not be opened. I called him, and he had the closing company fax them to me. You might ask if that is an option.

I'll give them a call today. I'm glad to know it happened to someone else because I thought it was my computer. I really hesitated to have them send them to me at work. My company frowns upon personal business on their computers, and I don't blame them. I guess a fax might have to do. Thanks for the suggestion.

Update: Good news. My calls must have lit a fire under someone. Received everything today via email, and everything is going back tomorrow via overnight mail. After all, I need to make ressie!!!

Mike, yep, we can hardly believe we're getting so close to our first trip home -- the excitement is building and it's harder to get to work and concentrate on the business at hand! My husband, who is organized to the nth degree, has already started pulling items together from his "things to take on vacation" list. On the other hand, I'll probably be doing that the night of the 15th!! If the opportunity presents itself, I will post a "real time" report which I know will be of particular interest to you as a soon-to-be OKW owner (were unable to book at BWV)!
