Any rides that are more fun to ride at certain times of the day/night?

I agree about BTMRR - totally different ride at night! Also, ride the Casey Jr. Circus Train at night. It's so pretty the way everything is lit up.

I like IASW at night...something magical about coming out to the darkness from the tunnel.

I am also voting for storybook land canal boats at dusk...so neat! I like any of the rides at night. For some reason in the dark there is a different atmosphere and it almost makes the rides more thrilling. Especially any ride that is outdoors or partially outdoors.

My fave is Casey! I love feeling the small breeze zip by me & seeing the Storybookland houses lit and the sleeping ducks!

Even though I don't ride it that much, Autopia seems calmer at night. I get to drive to my own beat. A nice little breeze w/ this one too!

And of course there's the JC. The only reason why I ride it at night is bc no one's hardly there. I've gone at night so much that when I ride it during the day, everything looks so foreign.

I have found that the rides seem to have less parts to it running on low volume days (weekdays). Pirates is also great at night...the fog has had all day to fill in the ride...so the ambience is great!!!

HM at night. No light tricking into the foyer and barely anyone on the ride, which gives it a feeling as if you're riding alone (when you can't see anyone in the other doombuggies you see when yours is turning, that is).

Being the last to get on a doombuggy is pretty wicked cool, especially when your entire elevator consisted of only 10 people.

Splash Mountain at night is fun because as you are about to go down the last drop you get to see all of the park and ahead of you is the Matterhorn. Screamin is interesting at night also. Grizzly Rapids is a cold but favourite place to be at night. Bobsleds at night and if you time it right during fireworks.

I LOVE Big Thunder at night... specially with the fireworks going off. So cool!!!

But I also love Pirates and the Haunted mansion. Its much spookier for the mansion, and for pirates its just sooo cool as you go in and its dark, the ride is a night time themed ride, and you get off the ride and its dark out. So the ride seems more realistic.

But I find it kinda fun to watch the riders come down splash mountain at night time. Splash is really pretty looking at night time.

Does anyone just like riding certain rides at different times? I think there are lots! I love doing IJA and JC in the dark. The adventureland and tiki-torch atmosphere is so exciting.

Yeah, those are excellent at night! Well, the funny thing about DL is that EVERYTHING is fun to ride at Night..... AND, in the Daytime. its split 50/50. Everything is great in the daytime, you get a nice little view of everything... Then again, at night, its great aswell. IDK, I think it feels a bit more adventureous at night.


Expl: California Screamin is great in the daytime because you can see for MILES, and you get a view of everything. However, its excellent at night because you get to see all the lights.

My favorites to ride at night (but I also love doing them during the day, as they are a different ride then), are BTMR and Splash Mtn and Story Book Canal Boats.

I don't ride the teacups, but that photo of them at night, is really neat!!

I'll second Matterhorn at night as well as Jungle Cruise. I think they use a different set of jokes on JC at night .., makes it a different ride.

My father and I used to hop on the Peoplemover just minutes before the park closed late at night and ride around watching as everyone emptied out. We'd be some of the last people leaving Tomorowland!

One more vote for BTMRR. We like it in the daytime too, but love it at night. I'm glad someone else mentioned the tea cups. I love that one at night as well.

On our last trip, we decided to try the tip people had suggested for Nemo, and ride it right before closing for a shorter line. I was worried that the outside part of the ride wouldn't look very good at night, but I think I actually liked it better. The colors are more vivid during the day, but it is really cool how they light it up at night, and I think I noticed some things that I had overlooked before.

I also love BTMRR and the Matterhorn at night! So fun!

The Matterhorn on a warm summer night was the best because we just turned a corner on the ride as the fireworks started. It was amazing & beautiful. I think of that everytime I go.

I love Storybook Land at twilight. Matterhorn must be ridden once in daylight and again at night. Same thing for BTMRR.
