I am going to me in RI from April 12-19 and I know that there are a few players. I would be up to a meet if anyone wants to.

Oh yes I am headed to the land of Dels, Hot Weiners, Caninets and Italian food to be remembered it's going to be wicked good.

If you don't know what I am tawking :teeth: about you are not from RI!

I can speak Rhode Island! A native taught me. ;)

Why don't you have a New York System hot dog, and maybe a Dunkin' Donut,
which you can find on practically every street corner, I hear. And perhaps
wash that donut down with some coffee milk. :rotfl2:

while we are way to busy to really do much of anything but work and sleep, plus Little League starts this coming week and I am a coach, this is a neat idea(r) - Most of the "New York System" hot dog places have hot dogs which taste nothing like the dogs in New York - I lived in NYC for a time and never had a "hot weiner" (pronounced weena) - I actually have dual citizenship, RI and New Jersey (Joisie) - In NJ, the Dunkin Donuts clerks have no idea(r) what "extra extra" means - in RI, I pass a DD every 1/3 of a mile on my 15 mile trip to work, yes, I literally pass over 40 dunkin donuts on my way to work - on the flip side... there is literally nothing better than a pizza from a Greek owned shop in Newark, any of them, or Fish and Chips from an Irish place in Kearney (right next to Newark) - butr the Clam Chowder here in RI blows away anything I have every had anywhere else (but stay away from Rocky Point Chowder (chowda) House) - wow, I am reminising huh?

Anyway, the best thing about RI is that you will never, ever, find Scrapple on a menu in a breakfast joint.

But.... make sure when you are here, that you remember that Friendlies is a terrible place to eat, and Newport Creamery isnt what it used to be (ustabe) - but the "Awful Awful" is still the best cabinet/frappe/shake around.

oh... and they moved the river in Providence and start the weekly event of lighting it on fire soon, and are currently re-routing the highway... again...

boy can I ramble....

PS: Stop and get some tastycakes in Jersey cause they dont have them north of New Rochelle!
