Any reviews on Hollywood & Vine dinner buffet???

Has anyone ate here for dinner and can share their opinions? We are going to do Sci-Fi Dine in for Lunch an need a place for dinner.

I hate to say this but H&V is disgusting...the food is so bad, you could not pay us to eat there again. From the hostess to the hour wait past our ressie time to the waitress that was MIA the entire time...no way, terrible experience. Never refilled drinks, had to hunt her down for the check, never cleared away dirty dishes......I would rather eat CS than go back.

Was thinking it couldn't be good since I could not find any reviews of the place!! LOL! Hmmmmm, any suggestions for a TS dinner?? We've done Mama Melrose about 5 times now and I'm trying to do all different restaurants for this upcoming trip.

I had a great meal there last year and am returning this year! Yes, there have been negative reviews but there are negative reviews for every restaurant- nowhere has 100% good feedback. I suggest that you go and try it out for yourself!

Ditto! And add that the food was lukewarm (and that is when there was ACTUALLY food at the buffet) and it was mediocre at best. The best thing I can say about the restaurant is that the desserts are good.

I can't comment on breakfast as we've never done it. Playhouse Disney came after my kids were older so we never did breakfast. I've read decent reviews of breakfast.

We ate their in 06 for dinner it was OK but we have had better food at WDW. We have yet to find even a QS restaurant that we like and HS.

It's really, really hard to screw up breakfast, and they don't manage to do so. We had a very early ADR (8:05), so everything was fresh -- that may help, of course. It's also not particularly popular; I think the place was only half full, so no problems with lines.

As for dinner, has it gone downhill recently? We went there for dinner on two previous trips (2002 and 2006), mostly because we could actually get a reservation for that very night the day we were there (this was before we knew about ADRs and the like), and didn't think the food was bad at all.

H&V is the ONLY place I have eaten at Disney that I can say I will never return to. It was really, really bad cafeteria food!! YUCK!!!

I have never tried H&V because of all the negative reviews. My boss just came back from WDW & he said he loved it there. You will always find many opinions on this topic.

I kid you not, if they offered it free of charge to just walk in and eat I would not go. It was *that* bad and the staff is just terrible there! I don't know what the problem is. Try for Brown Derby or even 50's PTC which is just a hoot and a half!
