Given that today is the first non-character day, I'm curious to see if there are any other changes. Will they be offering a broader menu similar to the lunch offerings?

bumping up, I would also love to hear about the changes. I still can not believe there will no longer be characters.

Bump

I would like to know this also because if they do offer a menu (instead of teh family style meal) I would like to eat dinner there!

The regular menu IS offered for lunch.

I have not heard that they are changing the dinner menu at all which I am very happy about. I always enjoyed it very much. It is a shame that the characters won't be there any longer though. :(

I hope they offer a menu now that the characters have finally left. I hated when the characters came in and they made it into that set menu. Lunch is so much better than that dinner. I am very happy to see the characters leave. Now if they will just kick them out of CRT, CP, Akershus, Hollywood & Vine, and Garden Grill, I will be even happier!

the nice thing about disney is that there are choices. We loved going before MNSSHP and having dinner with the characters dressed in their halloween costumes.

The food was ok, not fantastic, but good simple food and hubby liked it :)

Willbe interesting to see if they stay with the family style or bring the lunch menu forward and add to it for dinner.

Only time will tell ;)

As for kicking the characters out of all the places :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:
good one

I can't wait. We leave next Saturday so I plan to stop by and check out the menu. If it is a regular menu (not family style) we will try to get a table during our stay. I'm excited to have a new place to eat dinner at in MK. I avoid all character meals -- except when the grandkids are with us, and they don't like characters, so it's only been the princesses so far.

We will be there in two weeks and I wondered if there was an update... not yet. :(

Hmmm....maybe its just that no one is back yet? I'm really curious. If they have a normal menu like the lunch one I'll definitely be making an ADR for my Sept 2009 trip!

Nobody here has tried it yet? Makes me think that so far it's very unpopular.

I had tried to book it for dinner for our trip next week when I made ADRs in August. The CM said she couldn't make any dinner reservations after 1/5. Maybe this happened to other people? I think our CM that night didn't really know what she was doing though since she told me that gratuities were included on the DDP for 2009.... ;)

Has anyone been there since they eliminated the characters? Will they likely change the menu? I have an ADR there for dinner in early Feb. My husband was intrigued by the menu, and I am a little concerned for him that it will not be the same when we go (although it wouldn't break my heart!)

Haven't been there since the stopped doing the Character meals, BUT just a word of advise...Use the restroom before going to TLL...the have few available for the number of guests it seems.

We'll be there the last week in January. When I made my ADR for LTT lunch, I asked the CM if the dinner menu was the same as it's always been, and he said yes. He didn't say anything to indicate that it would be changing. Since your trip is so close, I doubt it'll change between now and then.

PS: I think the lunch menu is way more intriguing than the dinner menu. ;)

There were a couple of reports on the board that nothing has changed except for removal of the characters.

Is the price lower now that there are no characters? Anyone know?

I was on Disney World's web site last night and it still indicated that this was a character dinner with Goofy et al. So can someone verify that there are no characters now, for sure? I love the character dinner.

I am interested in finding out what the menu is without characters as well. Is it still family style? We actually enjoy it just the way it is and wouldn't go if it changed. Any updates??
