The 'scrapple' thread got me thinking, and I really miss a good Monte Cristo sandwich. Anyone know if any restaurants at WDW serve a Monte Cristo sandwich. I'm drooling right now for our Jan 22 trip. TIA

Bar Riva at the Riviera resort was serving them before Covid, not sure if they are still on the menu or not.

I have personally never seen it. I give you mad props for wanting to eat a deep fried sandwich sprinkled with confectionary sugar.
"a deep fried sandwich sprinkled with confectionary sugar." Don't forget to dip it in the jelly! Haha
Don't knock it til you try it, they are actually pretty good! Ha
Apparently Walt liked them as well, since he supposedly brought them to DL.

Evokes the idea of meatballs cooked in grape jelly which is a delicacy in some parts of the country.

I believe the monte cristo was sold at Woody’s when it first opened. Keep checking the menu and maybe it’ll return by January.

Woody's "Monte Cristo" was just a grilled cheese with ham and turkey. It was so unpopular/confusing that they scrapped it just one month after opening.

The aforementioned Bar Riva at the Rivera had a real Monte Cristo, but it did not return after the closure.

Until about 20 years ago, you could buy a MC at diners, bar and grills and some major chains across the U.S. (Bennigans, Friday's, Ruby Tuesdays, etc.), now they are treated like "rare" delicacies.

Pulled Pork Jelly Donut is being served in Animal Kingdom.
