hi all :) i'm looking into becoming a respiratory therapist, and i don't know any IRL...is it difficult to find a job? does it pay well? i'm not looking to get rich by any means, but i'll probably have to get loans to pay for the necessary schooling, and i'd like to be able to pay them back, lol. how about the hours? given the choice, would you still become a respiratory therapist? is the schooling/licensing particularly difficult (i have 2 years of general course work at a university, but would be attending a comm. college for this)? if i've forgotten anything, please feel free to fill me in-i'm just getting started here, and i'm kinda scattered. :goodvibes TIA!

DD had been considering respiratory therapy and did some research into it. Salaries in this area are fair, starting in upper 30s lower 40s I believe she said. In the near future, any health field related job like this will be in high demand. Look at the Occupational Outlook Handbook done by the government. It should give you some answers.
DD has decided to go toward the nursing field instead because of more variety in jobs.
