Any reports from Blue Bayou this week?

Looking for first hand accounts from anyone who's been this week. Is pirates drained, are there walls up? Trying to decide if I want to keep my reservation.

I've heard from people that they put the walls up.

I had heard about the possibility of walls being up too, which is why I was hoping that someone who's been this week could confirm.

Bumping this up, because I've also been waiting to hear. Is it fully drained with walls up? How was the atmosphere of the restaurant?

Micechat's In the Parks had a shot of the Blue Bayou during refurb of POTC.

No walls (yet), but the water has been partially drained (you can see the tracks). The work lights in the attraction are on.

I don't how much the extra lighting detracts from the ambiance in the restuarant. I suppose I wouldn't care so long as I could still hear the cricket and frog noises.

Thanks lozzypop and thatgrljme. I hadn't done my usual Friday reading on that other site yet. I think I might cancel my reservation. It would be our first time eating there, and I'd like to see BB looking it's best.

I'm trying to keep my chin up about the refurbs, but that article REALLY shows the impact of everything that's closed. I was still hoping to see Mickey and the MM, but it looks like that's out too.

I'm sure someone will chime in to tell me how much is still open. So, yes! I already know I'll still have a good time, and I'm still super excited.

Yea that little article really made my heart sink. I don't ever recall seeing that many walls up when I was at DLR before. I just told my dad we're going to have to plan another trip for next year and earlier in the year to miss the refurbs next time lol

I don't know if lunches are any different, but there were no work lights on for dinner tonight. Lighting and sounds were as I remember from three years ago. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, so I couldn't see any lack of water until I peaked over the edge while leaving, and the first thing that I noticed was that the water was still there, but I could see the tracks, I think. The only things really missing were the boats with their flash photography.

Please ignore my question. I looked at the Disneyland calendar, and Pirates looks to be back open by 5/23.

Just had dinner on Saturday at Blue Bayou. The scenery was nice even without the boats going by. You can still see the river and the place was packed. Ambiance wasn't any different for us.

Celebrated our 5th anniversary a few nights ago. Water was NOT drained and we had a beautiful dinner at a waterside table. It was actually kinda nice... no annoying teenagers taking flash pictures or goofing off
