Anyway,
Back to the main question.
No FP+ has not converted us from FP-, in fact, among other concerns, but seriously among them, it contributed to the current sad signature I am sporting.
The thing we liked most: arrival day. That really is a great benefit over the previous system, just to know you have FPs booked for later in the day.
Otherwise ... basically nothing.
We used to tour the parks in a relaxed manner, just walking around, grabbing FPs where they were available and if it made sense. Ie: At space, don't like the wait, grab an FP and hit up buzz or laugh floor, then hit up space again. Space is a walk on ? Awesome, ride it, maybe grab an FP for a bit later, hit up buzz and laugh floor, and then hit up space again on FP this time as the SB line has built up.
We didn't need to crisscross the parks, or walk a ton extra to get FPs, etc. We just did it as we went along.
We rode a LOT, and repeated the majors. The non-majors, we really aren't willing to stand in line very long. That's just not a vacation to us, we aren't paying thousands of dollars and using what precious vacation time we have to stand in line.
Now, its harder to reride the majors, especially in the tiered parks, and the less major attractions have longer lines, really not cool for us.
We actually found ourselves doing more crisscrossing the parks last time because beyond the 3rd FP we constantly have to go back to a Kiosk, find out whats available, then head off to that attraction.
Now, there are times this could work out great, where the Kiosk is on your way, and other times it really doesn't, like leaving Big thunder and wanting to FP Splash.
I really do wonder if anyone else has noticed something though. In the lead up to FP+'s implementation, people who liked the look of it would say things like "This will be great, now I will be able to ride TSMM or RNR or whatever, when I never got a FP before for it" and people who didn't like the sound of FP+ would say "you can FP those rides, you just have to go at RD or close to RD"
Now the pro-FP people would get all upset about this and say they didn't want to RD. That was crap, and this system will be much better because you wont have to RD.
Now, it seems like many of the people who like or defend FP+ say that its great because you can FP+ something later in the day, but its still possible to get just as much done as long as you go to RD ??? It seems, at least to me, that FP+ has only heightened the need to RD, or accept doing less, and maybe both ?
