Hi there,

We're starting to consider now staying offsite instead of on Disney to save a bit of money. But there are soooooo many to choose from. Anyone who can help point me in the right direction? We are a family with two small kids, so more space would be nice to have, continental breakfast would be nice to have, nice pools, nice to have, fridge must have, microwave nice to have.

Any recommendations...

I can tell you we chose Lake Buena Vista Suites. I did a lot of research on the place and read many reviews. The rooms are all suites and recently, all the rooms were remodeled. There is a small fridge in each room and a microwave. They also give you a free breakfast buffet every morning. I also got a really good rate during Easter weekend.
Check it out and see if it fits your needs. Good luck.

We have stayed at Orange Lake, Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, and Floridays. They are all really nice and I would start with these. I have heard good things about Bonnet Creek where we will be staying in June. Vistana also gets good reviews on the boards. The Fountains looks nice too.

Oh I forgot all of these properties have full kitchens and washer and dryer in each unit. We always get a two bedroom. 1st bedroom with King and second bedroom with two queens.

Well...I booked Comfort Suites Maingate East...$69.99 per night in October. If that rate isn't showing you could call them and ask for the Orlando Magic Card rate. It is 2 Queens divider/ pull out sleep sofa with mini-fridge and microwave and sink. It had great reviews on tripadvisor and seems to be relatively close to the park. Free breakfast also.

Here's their link if interested.

I still may book something else because there are 5 of us and we may do Windsor Hills but I have this booking now :).

For my family of 5, this is our preference. I don't care for hotels/motels to stay in longer than 2 nights. Its just not comfortable for me to share a room with kids for a week stay. I have had good luck finding great rates on bookit.com and booking.com. I like booking.com best because they don't have cancellation fees in most cases if you find a better rate elsewhere. :)
