Any recommendations on something romantic after we get the kids down to bed which is around 8pm? We're staying just outside the park. I've read about many of the suggestions such as horseback riding, and my wife isn't into fancy restaurants (whew!) but most of what I read are day activities. We won't be able to escape out of the hotel until 8:15 or so. Doesn't give us much time to get somewhere to watch the fireworks... or maybe it does, I really don't have the lay of the land yet. Thanks!

Hello OP... I'm hoping you don't mean THIS Valentines day...

But if you do.... then I would try to hop over to the Boardwalk..... there is plenty of nightlife over there to enjoy....

You may even be able to see Illuminations from some points there.....

But Boardwalk Busters.... Keyboarders ... etc.... there are some great shopping and partying opportunities....

another thought would be Downtown Disney....

Have a magical night!

If you aren't staying on site, it means you won't be able to get into a park at night, they usually close around 9ish. I don't think Feb has very many late hours for the public. So you could go to The Boardwalk and eat there- a few restaurants- Kuzina, and some others. They have buskers on the boardwalk too.
Or Downtown Disney. What about taking the Balloon ride? Characters in Flight? We had a fun evening at Raglan Road- it's not a quiet romantic place, lol, but it had Irish Dancers, and a live band. Walking around Pleasure Island is always entertaining. There are live preformers, living statues, bands, etc.

Of course i'm talking about this year. The balloon is a great idea, thanks for that one. Drove by it last night. Maybe we can make it someplace for dinner or appetizers with a fireworks view.

Maybe just hit one of the resort bars for some drinks & appetizers & grown-up conversation? :confused3

I can do that at home. Just wanted to find out if there was anything super-romantic and unique to WDW area going on down here that we'd be missing out on.

Their not romantic, but you could see what tickets are still available at La Nouba for the 9pm show, or go to the movie theatre and see The Vow - both at downtown disney. Then take your love to Ghirardelli's for a sweet treat.
