I'm looking for some recent reviews of Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. I would really appreciate any feedback on room and pool conditions and the surrounding area.

Thanks

Autumn

Hi autumnblue!

I am also interested in the Comfort Inn LBV. Have you looked on TripAdvisor? From what I can tell, the place is certainly not fancy, but it seems to be decent for the budget-minded traveler. :D

Here's another one who is interested. I've got enough points on my Guest Privileges account to get two free nights here. DH and I are taking the kids in early October for the week, and we're staying onsite and then heading over to Port Canaveral and doing a three night cruise.

But our anniversary is at the end of October, and I'm thinking of going back down (just DH and I) and staying at this Comfort Inn for the two free nights and do Cirque de Soleil, Downtown Disney, etc.

I know it's not plush, but we just had "plush" during the cruise. So, do you think this would be fine?

Hi! Sorry, I don't have a recent review of the hotel, but we did stay there in '01 and found everything to be nice. We had one of the "family suites" and our room was very clean. The pool area, restaurant, convenience store, etc. were all clean and well maintained when we were there. :flower:

We usually stay in the LBV area when we stay offsite. It is a really nice area. Excellent if you plan to do Universal/ Sea World in addition to Disney. It is really easy to get just about anywhere from this location. We also like the dining choices in the area. You have everything from fast food to nicer restaurants. Lots of the nicer chain restaurants (like Olive Garden).

Like I said, it's been a few years since we stayed at the Comfort Inn, but we have stayed in LBV (Homewood and Hawthorn Suites) every year since then. You can't beat the area if you're staying offsite. :teeth:

We stayed here the first week of February this year and enjoyed our time there. We had a family suite which my 3 children liked. It was clean, had no weird smells or anything. We ate the free breakfast most mornings and also upgraded a couple of times to the hot buffet for I believe $4.95 for adults. The pool area is nice and there are two of them. Nothing fancy, but a good, basic pool.

The location is very convenient, less than a mile from the DTD entrance to WDW. Several restaurants and stores are in the area. We rented a car so don't know about the shuttle service, but they did offer one.

My only complaint is with the noise from the interstate at night. Ask for a room facing away from the interstate and your trip should be fine. We got a clean, fairly large room for a family of 5 for a low price. We felt safe, got breakfast, and had a great location. This hotel isn't the Wilderness Lodge, but it is good for the money.

I've stayed there about 5 times and will be staying there at the end of May again. It's not fancy, but it is clean and well kept. The grounds are pretty and there is a security check point to enter the property. It has two pools, a convenience store and a buffet restaraunt. Plus you can't beat the location.

HI! I haven't stayed there for a few years but we had stayed there everytime we have been to disney except 2 years ago! because we stayed onsite! And had no complaints! Rooms were clean service was good! Pool is nice! Restaurant is very reasonable if you have kids and there are lots of fastfood places and even a dunkin donuts in the immediate area! Great cheap souviner stores right on Palm Parkway! Lots of fast food and reasonable restaurants on Apopka-Vineland RD which crosses Palm Parkway! If you are thinking Budget this is definitely the place to stay! I look at it this wayyou are going to the room to sleep not live in you're on vaca and basically all you need is a place to sleep and wash! This is great for the money! Unlike other places I have heard nightmares about! I would say go for it!

I stayed here in February 2000. We had one of the family suites which had a partioned themed area with a tv, bunk beds and one single bed for the kids. The room also had a fridge and a microwave which was handy. The room itself was fine, clean though it was a bit dark. The air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy, we ended up turning it off at night.

My big reservation with the hotel is that it faces on to the I4. The noise from the traffic was tremendous and went on for all hours, horns were being blared. I ended up having to resort to having a glass of wine each night to help me sleep which isn't a good thing after all it is essential you get a good night's rest for all that walking about you are doing.

Personally I would not go back there again because of the traffic noise. When I came home I could not get over how peaceful it was, my ears had become accustomed to constant noise either from the theme parks or from the I4 at night.

The hotel itself is situated very close to Disney and I would recommend LBV as a place to stay.
