Hi folks,

I was wondering how things were going at the Poly Bungalows? Ive heard complaints and was wondering if anyone had recently stayed there and would be willing to let us know how your stay was.

thanks in Advance.

Still having HVAC issues and using the temporary AC in the bedroom. Seems like it may take awhile for a fix.

We stayed in a Bungalow last week for one day. Disney upgraded us from studio. We had a great time, but there were some issues.

You could hear boat horns very clearly.

The plumbing system is quite loud.

There's an AC unit in the master bedroom. It's very loud if you are not used to the noise.

Disney boats (I think they are patrolling the waters) pass close by frequently.

Otherwise, it was beautiful and a completely wonderful surprise.

I stayed in Pago Pago in February and we were in Moorea last week. I felt the noise level was a night and day difference! Pago Pago was loud, to the point where I had to download a white noise app and sleep with my earbuds in. Moorea was really quiet, we didn't hear much. Now, I am talking about noise from within the building, not outside. You will always hear some ferry horns, but that doesn't bother us. I don't think they are any louder at Poly than VWL, BWV or BCV.

Another nice thing about Moorea is the laundry is in that longhouse. It was super convenient for us. Still can't get over why they didn't put laundry in each longhouse. There are 4 washers and 8 dryers for ALL of the Poly studios. Crazy.

We didn't experience any of the maintenance issues that other people have posted about (on either stay). It is also great to be so close to the TTC!

Out of curiosity, what room were you in at Moorea? Lake view? Standard? I'm going in the next few months.

We had two Bungalows second to last nearest To ticket and transpertation.
One of our bungalows had a window unit the other did not.
The bungalows are absolutely gorgeous well-equipped except no ice maker which I thought was very strange.
Watching the fireworks from the balcony every night was amazing.
The noise from the ferry that takes you from ticket and transportation to the Magic Kingdom is ridiculous it's so loud and starts at 6 AM.
The location was nice if you were going to ticket and transportation but everywhere else it's a really far walk.
it was not convenient to anywhere else on Poly Property.
Being on the water we had many bugs (spiders and roaches) unfortunately that's just going to happen with the lights at night and being on the water in Florida. Speaking of lights The lighting inside the Bungalo is awful, it's very dim to the whole bungalow.
I'm glad we got to stay there but I do not think I would stay there again.

I agree regarding the noise. It's a crazy amount and distracting.

In regard to the lighting...I found the switches cumbersome and couldn't really figure out the lighting until it was almost time to leave. I would have preferred just normal light switches.

Agreed! Even after 3 nights and figuring out the lights at it's brightest was too dark in my opinion.

Might be an energy saving thing or they don't want bright lights in the view of others when they look towards the castle from the shore or maybe both reasons.

Yes We assumed it had something to do with that. But even the bathroom lights were low. Or maybe that way we wouldn't notice the critters lol lol
