Uber and Lyft both offer pre-scheduled rides, but it's neither necessary nor advisable. All "scheduled" means is the ride is timed to be dispatched at a certain time.It turns out that Lyft does pre-scheduled rides! I had no idea. This was the only reason I was looking into Mears. If anyone is interested, I can report back on how successful it was to prebook after next Thursday.
What happens if you get delayed by something? The ride gets dispatched, you're not there, so you get hit with a $10 cancellation fee.
Just order your ride when you have your luggage and are ready to get in the car. Anything else is just asking for a cancellation fee.
