Any recent Blue Hole experiences?

Trying to plan our day in Jamaica in April and wondering if anyone has been to the Blue Hole with a private tour guide lately. I believe the State Department issued a warning for travel in Jamaica, so we are wary of leaving the port area and not interested in joining a large DCL excursion. We went with a private guide back in 2019 and felt very safe, but I’m not sure if that has changed. Any thoughts or input are welcome!
