I am heading to DL in a couple months, and I was wondering if VMK is still giving away fastpasses for completing all of the In-park quests like they did in the spring?

Not sure about DL, but we went over to WDW yesterday and completed all the in-park quests and didn't get anything.

WOW Cool but I am jealous....wonder why WDW does not get Fastpasses?!?

What do you get and how many and how do they work??

thanks

When I was at DL in May, we completed all quests and had a choice between
Roger Rabbit
Space Mountian
Thunder Mountian
Buzz Lightyear
Indiana Jones.

We were allowed to pick two each for us and a guest.

We had six in our group and tried to use each other as guests so in theory we would have 4 FP at once. But they still work as a networked FP so we couldn't do it that way. But if I remember correctly we could get a FP just before we turned in our quests and could still get the VMk Fastpasses. Does any one know if that is correct?

That is right. Use your tickets to get a FP right before you turn in your quests, because if you get your two FPs for the quests and then try to get another from the machine, you're out of luck, but if you get it from the machine first, then grab your two from the VMK stand, you'll have three.

Note: your 2 from VMK cannot be for the same ride.

Yeah, at Disneyland you get the fast pass for completing it. But you don't have to claim it right then. So if you want to come back another day/time and get them just let them know and it's on the computer still. My family's still got all of ours on the computer because my brother has a Special Assistance Pass...so we really don't need to use the Fast Passes.

When you turn them in to VMK Central at DL you DO get fasspasses.

Hmmm, that's interesting because yesterday they did not give fastpasses out. We didn't get anything and we did them all. The person at the register knew what she was doing. In fact she is actually a CL in vmk. Maybe we should go back and ask if we were supposed to get them.

VMK Central at WDW does not give out fast passes. That is a DL only thing.

Well, the park is trying to phase Fast Passes out in general, so maybe they're starting to do that?

Nevermind. You're in Florida. Which I guess doesn't do that.
If you went to Disneyland they likely still have them there.

They are still trying to phase them out in general though. :)

in WDW they give you a prize pack that gives you all the cards they used to give out on the tour. (at least they did 3 weeks ago, i don't know about now)

Actually... the prize pack you get includes "some" of the cards you "might" have gotten on tour. Typically those are the tent room, the hippo rug, the safari lifestyle collection and the 2 posters. By no means do you get *all* the cards we received on the tour.

Even now, what you get is rather hit or miss. Sometimes they include the new adventureland/fantasyland/frontierland quest pins, some times just 2 of the three. It all depends, near as I can tell, on what they have when they are putting together the 'ready made' packs to hand out.

As with everything Disney, your mileage may vary, but in my very experienced experience ;) that is how it happens.

Nononono. Disneyland was closing up some of their FastPass machines,
like at the Haunted Mansion. WDW and DL are not phasing out FastPasses
entirely. :)

Whew! That's good to know:)

It's a fast pass for your choice of TWO of these rides.

Autopia
Space Mountain
Indiana Jones
Rog. Rab.
Big Thunder Mountain (Although they didn't say that choice in July)
or Buzz Light Year

Also we always get the answers right and get this "Random mixed" pack of everything like Aeyrn said.

No. I was talking about Disneyland. If you look at the line of posts you can see that Since1971 was responding to DisneyDreams, who was originally talking about Disneyland. I responded to Since1971 thinking they were still carrying on with the Disneyland topic, but quickly realized that they were not since they're in Florida.

And yes, I have no idea about WDW because I have never been there, but they HAVE gotten rid of a lot of the previous Fast Passes at DL already, because they would like to phase them out almost completely. A lot of the CMs *hate* them. There was actually an article I read just before they started removing a lot of them where it said the new DL management was deciding to get rid of them.

As a random sidenote, Disneyland Paris had a Fast Pass for Peter Pan. I thought that was interesting.
