DD had a great 6th grade year, first year of middle school in our system. It started out a little rocky with math, but she had the most wonderful guidance counselor who advocated for her to go to a different class and the new teacher was great! Last day of school DD and her hugged and she told DD how proud she was of her effort and ability to catch up.
DS had the most wonderful preschool teachers. Because of them, he has improved in social skills and I feel more ready than ever to send him to Kindergarten.

My teaching partner (the one that had that other class) is the one that kept me sane with that bunch. Unfortunately, she is not tenured and they did a layoff of non-tenured teachers and she got the cut. I feel so bad for her because she is a great teacher. My district is doing some major changes for next year so who knows who I'll be getting as a new partner.

DD liked all her teachers except one (I think because he doesn't put up with girl drama, lol) and all her classes. We are lucky that she is in a charter school with a project-based cirriculum which works well for her. She has one teacher in particular that I like ~ her English teacher. She is always right on top of grading and extra help time, communicates to parents by email with upcoming events/concerns/etc. DD has one teacher that still has not graded a major project from March
But hey we can't all be Type A's can we
