We're considering a Feb 2011 cruise out of Canaveral and were hoping to book a "Kids Sail Free" package like we did in 2009... any chance of one coming available in the next few months? In lieu of that, any other good deals for Feb? Thanks!

I asked about the Fl resident rate a few times, and from different people I got the same answer.Basically promotions will look at certain things about once a month, and make a decision based on how fast a ship is selling out, economy, etc.The best answer I could get out of them is to keep checking back, as you never know what they are going to do.

If you want a certain date/category, I would book what you want now. Prices typically go up as the sail date gets closer. If a special offer comes out and you haven't hit your Pay In Full Date, you can always change your ressie.

February can be a busy time with schools on vacations, so if you wait, you may lose the date/category you are looking for. However, if you are willing to take a chance, then go for it!

I was wondering the same thing...
I am pretty sure we want to sail on the Feb 6 sailing as of now that is the least expensive sailing in Feb out of Canaveral....
(was really wanting to do the same sailing on i think its Feb 20th, but it was about $1000 more )

I too was hoping for a Florida Resident special. OR KIDS SAIL FREE would be great too

But you bring up a valid point that we should go ahead and book.

But i should know this as i have sailed 3 times but have used DVC points most times......
WHAT IS THE PAY IN FULL DATE????????????

They did have Kids Sail Free on the Wonder only in Spring 2010. We went last March. I have to say that we probably won't utilize that promotion again!

75 days, but if you want to take advantage of the Silver CC member advance booking window, you'll have to pay in full prior to 90 days out.

Why won't you use the Kids Sail Free promotion again?:confused3

You really have nothing to lose by booking what you want now. As your PIF date approaches, check one last time to see if they're offering any specials.
You always have the option of canceling and getting your deposit back if you decide not to cruise at that price or if a better deal comes along.

We didn't count on the impact that Kids Sail Free would have on our own kid's sailing experience. Our kids (and us) were quite frustrated with the crowds compared to our prior cruises. We had been on a sold-out cruise before (EB Panama Canal repo) and it did not seem that crowded (less people per cabin perhaps?). Even on Sea Days, it was not too bad. On the Kids-sail free, it seemed overcrowded and even overwhelming, especially on the Sea Day.

I think it was the above combined with the fact that it was during Spring Break. We didn't enjoy the March weather as much as our previous cruises (late summer/early fall).

We'll stick to lower overall fares in the fall in the future.

The Wonder already offered a Kids Sail Free promo for spring 2011 on the Mexican Riviera cruises, and those cruises are almost sold out. The Dream sailings are pretty full, especially in February, because the first sailing is late January. You might find a deal on the Magic doing 7-night Caribbean cruises, but I think that is your only hope.

I'm hoping for a KSF offer for the MR cruises for late 2011 -- it seems they are wide open & we'd love to piggyback a trip to LA to visit family with a cruise.

We find that fall is a great time to cruise and prices are extremely reasonable. We're paying less for our upcoming 7 nt in Oct than we did for our 1st DC, a 7 nt in Feb 07, booked in oct 2005! Both same cat and even now ds is paying teen rate.:goodvibes

1 other thing to add, if there is a special that comes out, you will usually get the new rate if it applies to your cruise. We were booked on the 4 day Wonder last year, when the FLR caught up to us.It was after our PIF date.
I cant sear to all of the promos for that happening.

Us to.Weve found that 1 week can make a huge difference in pricing. We usually go the last week in August, but this year we are going in Oct due to the Magic being over seas. From the 1st week of August, to the last, for the same cat room, weve seen almost a 2000 price drop. Any time everyone in the world would most likely have off, such as summer months, holidays etc, is when the ships are full, and more expensive. The off season, where everyone is in school and at work, such as Sept and Oct, are cheaper for the same cat room.

When KSF was released for last spring, it specifically stated for new bookings only. The only way to take advantage of that would be to cancel old res and rebook.
We had a SPH booked last March and when the KSF came out, I had to cancel to get the deal and in process, lost the SPH. Someone grabbed it that fast. It all worked out cuz we got cat 9 for way less than the original cat 10 but still, wanted to try one.
