Any POOL players that know about Cue Sticks?

I have a cue stick that was a gift (long story)
Anyway, comes in a case, and it says Competition on it, There is also a small sticker that says 20oz. Comes in two parts in the storage case, you take it in to a shop to be customized???
I HAVE NO IDEA and want to sell it.
SO, how do I find value, I was told it was not a cheap item. but truly do not even know how to determine the value, It is in brand new condition. DO I throw it in a garage sale or ebay it?

ANY help or ideas to help me find value would be really helpful! TIA!

Any pool halls around you? It has been a long time .... I dated a 'professional' pool player. Think Color of Money....hustler. He had like a $200 cue but I know that wasn't top of the line. And it was like 20 years ago!

As for the cue. 20oz is the weight of the cue. The cue comes apart so that you can travel with it and you can also add additional weight to the cue if you need to.
Is the cue signed? I know of at least 2 professional pool players that have made pool cues and they sign all their work. Some of the cues are truly gorgeous with ivory and even diamonds in them.
The prices start at $75 and can get into the tens of thousands!

I googled because I couldn't remember the name of the cue he had. I thought he was SO COOL. bleck!!

Oh and I found the kind he had. Seem they retail from about 400-800 now!

thank you for the info. I guess I'll try to find one that looks like it.
I only see "Champion" on it and it is actually kinda pretty, LOL, has inlaid woods of differing colors and design work...
If I find something similar perhaps that'll give me Something to work with, if not, maybe I'll throw 50. and see if I get any bites.....if it is over priced it won't sell, but if it is under priced, atleast I'll have 50. and someone else would be happy!
