If the posted opening time is 9:00 is there any point in rushing to get there early?

Thanks

Yes, there is an advantage. If the rides are ready, the park may open about 15 to 30 minutes early. If you're one of the first people in the park, you can ride the more popular rides with little or no wait. Spider-Man has about a 5 minute wait right at opening. Later in the day, that line gets up to 45 minutes or even more! Even if you're on site, you might want to arrive early and do the rides first that you can use your keys on (IOA: Pternandon Flyers, front rows of Dueling Dragons and Hulk, USF: Fifel's Playland slide).

Yes, I can not stress this enough. Getting there early gets you on many rides that you will have to wait for later.

We've gone to IOA early, and gotten rides on Spiderman, Dr. Doom, JRPA, and Hulk even before the crowds. Another time we did the opposite side of the parks, and was the first riders on Cat in the Hat (we actually saw mistakes!), and One Fish Two Fish.

At USF, many re rides in MIB. And a not as full T2, walk on on ET, first show at Animal Planet.. you name it.

I think one day we did 10 rides at MIB...

I should let you know that we are going in Septemeber and we are staying at the HRH so we will def have FOTL. I def plan on being at the gate before opening (DH complains he has to get up earlier on Vaca than he does for work) lol. I just did not know if the posted opening time in 9:00 how early I should really get there.

Even if you're staying on site and have FOTL you need to be there before it opens?

Barry, explain about the rides you need a keycard for. I'm confused about the difference of this and FOTL. Thanks.

He is talking about the same thing....you use your HotelKeys as your FOTL access. They scan them at the attractions.

I have been in September & October on a few occasions now, lines have been very low every time if not non-existant. I have never felt the need to get there at 9am, it will depend on the time of year you go I guess.
