Any point in booking GV at 7 m for May?

We had to cancel a dream trip with friends for June 2020 in a Grand Villa. At the time, my friend and I looked ahead and thought we’d reschedule to May 2021. Soon I’ll need to book again. This time around, I’m thinking at week in a Grand Villa at SSR or BWV.

A few questions—Should I even bother? We are in Canada and our border is currently closed with the US and all essential travel is discouraged. Realistically, we won’t travel without the vaccine.

Also, which would be better—SSR (preferred) or BWV?

Your chances at a GV at BWV at 7 tend to poor, so I wouldn't build up my hopes there much. SSR is close.to a sure thing.

I rescheduled my big trip for Feb, so here's hoping!

If you really don't think you would travel, you could rent out the points. I've been surprised at how quickly they have gone on the boards. I wouldn't be in a huge hurry to rent them out though, because I want my trip!

I hear you! If may didn’t work out, I’ll push a trip out to November, but only use the banked points I have. So no grand villa. I think I’ll book. We need to keep hoping.
