Any place to rent a car on grounds??

Does anyone know of a place to rent a car at disney? I think I remember that you can rent one at the swan or dolphin. If so, what company. We are at the bw for 6 nights in feb. then we are going to see family in florida.

National is in the Dolphin. They also have an office at the Car Care Center leading to the MK.

You can rent a car at Dollar near Downtown Disney. They don't have pick up trucks with astro-turf in the back - I already asked.

Pam, is National still in the Dolphin? I seem to remember the National desk leaving that hotel.

National has a rental location at the car care center near the MK. On several occasions, I have rented a car at the airport and returned it at WDW.

I called National in March and the only place they told me I could rent a car was at the Car Care Center. All we needed to do was, have valet call them to send a van. They picked us up and took us to the car care center very quickly. From the time we left Bwv to coming back to the BWV was about thirty five minutes. Actually it was a lot faster than the car rentals around here were I live.

Yes, we rent from the Car Care Center all the time. Pick up at airport and drop off at CCC and vice versa. Their bus will pick you up just about anywhere on the property, including the parks. I have to say the people there haven't been the friendliest....I guess they are anti-CM's or something.

Rental person is banging away feverishly on her keyboard, apparently writing my life history or something. I politely ask,
"Oh, and could I get a car seat for a 3 year old as well, please?"
(huff...rolls eyes...stares at me like I just called her mother a name) "Well I wish you would have said that earlier so I could have had her get two of them" (referring to the other clerk who just came back with a seat for another customer) "Well now I have to go back there and get you one, so you're gonna have to wait!"

Now THAT'S friendly service, friends!!

See what happens then you take out the DVC Guide who used to sit in there?? Not a speck of Disney Magic left.

The service wasn't friendly but they sure were convenient at the car care center. We picked a car up mid-trip to go to Vero for a few days and then returned it to spend a few more at Disney. They dropped us off at AK after we returned the car and we just got a bus back to BWV.

National has the rental counter at the Car Care Center, and also at the Dolphin hotel. I haven't been to either one, but if you look on the site when you type in Orlando, it comes up with Dolphin hotel, Car Care Center, and MCO.

The National desk was at the Dolphin when I was there two weeks ago, but I am not sure what their purpose was. I stopped there to inquire about renting a car for the next day and the very polite woman behind the desk told me to call the National 800 number! She was not allowed to quote rates???

I called the 800 number and I was quoted $57.00 for a full size car but I didn't rent it.

We are flying to Disney and thought of dining outside the world a few nights. I wondered if I could rent a car for about 3 days cheaper than I could get a cab for 3 times? Do you remember approximately what you pay when you use them?

I had a 2-day rental with National - picking up at the airport and dropping off at the Dolphin- and the cost was $80. Instead I got a weekly rate of $104 total, after Disney Club discount and coupon (compact). Since you'll pay to get to and from the airport - you might as well rent for your entire stay.

There's a National desk at the Car Care Center to your right as you exit the MK Main Parking Lot (Or if you are leaving the Poly Contemp, WL, or GF)

Yeah I wonder what the National desk at the Dolphin is for? We used to rent from there, while staying at one of the EPCOT area resorts, but we were told a few years ago that you can't rent from there anymore. If not, what purpose do they serve?
