I didn't know there was a Disney Store in Westmoreland Mall!!

The last time I was there was in 1990!! Thanks for the info, I'll be making a trip there for sure!

Glad i mentioned it! Park by Sears (on the right), go in the entrance sort of in the corner (just after you pass Ground Round) and when you walk in the side door, make a right, it's just past Old Navy (on the left side of the aisle)! It will bring back old memories!

Not that it's really close but there is a Disney store in South Hills Village, Ross Park and they just opened one at the Mall of Robinson. I visit the South Hills one frequently to get my Disney fix. That's such a shame they closed the Monroeville one...that doesn't make any sense at all!

Hello my soon to be neighbors!

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread and see how everyone is...and to tell you all that the movers will be here next Wednesday!!!!!!

OMG, you would not believe what kind of heck we have been through!
We had originally put in a contract on a house in Cranberry, contingent on us selling ours here in AR. Wellllll.... the market stinks here and we haven't sold our house yet! And someone came in and made an offer on the house up there and the sellers took it. So we had to regroup and now we have decided that we are going to rent and I am scared as heck!!!

We are now going to be in Fox Chapel in a house that we have leased for a year. I haven't even seen it yet..DH is living up there in a hotel suite and found it on-line. He said it has been renovated and is nice, so I'm having to believe him.

I am going insane trying to clean out the house before Wednesday, and our stuff actually won't be delivered until after the new year. We are going "home" to our parents houses for a few weeks after the movers pack and load our stuff. I need someone to take care of "me" for a while...and my Mom and DMIL just happen to be great at that.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and that I'm sooo looking forward to being in your city and meeting up with some of you!

Sorry to hear about the house in Cranberry. Oh well! Fox Chapel is a nice area too though. Good luck with the move and try not to stress - it'll all work out .

My brother lives in that area,as well as a number of my friends, I know my way around there pretty well! If you have any questions about the area, I'd be happy to fill you in. WELCOME TO PITTSBURGH!

Sorry to hear about the house, Jodi! But that only means there is a better one out there for you! And think of it this way. After a year you'll be more familiar with the city and have time to decide where you absolutely want to live and get a chance to look around.

Good luck with the move! You'll be here for Christmas! And judging from today, it will probably be a white one.

Here's a funny one...

The realtor here called and said they wanted to show the house .... HA HA HA!!!!!! If they knew the big steaming pile of crap I'm sitting in, they wouldn't dare to ask. PMS has got a hold of me today.

Anyhow, I am so ready for this all to be over and done with. Thanks to all of you for your ideas and suggestions... since August!!!!!!

And, BTW, anyone know if Buckylarue is still making the move????

That's true, I know bill cowher (coach of the steelers) lives there. Alot of sports stars like it there because it's not right in the city but it's close and right on a main artery into the city. Schools are some of the best in this part of the state and is definitely considered one of the more ritzy areas around here.

Well, everything is in place. "4 sleeps til the movers come"... is the kid's countdown. My girlfriends are giving me a going away party tonight... awwww, I'm gonna miss those girls!

Anyway, I have a question for you all. You might remember that I said my Mom is claustrophobic, and can't go through tunnels. She wants to drive up to help me get organized but is afraid! Could you please tell me the route that she would take from 79 south to get to Fox Chapel without having to go through the tunnels? Thanks, guys. You are the best!
