Any Pittsburghers here?

Pretty much any weekend in August works for me right now :thumbsup2 or even maybe a Friday evening at Kennywood? Dave & Busters might be a good idea as well.

I think either would be great. Since I'm sure we are coming from different areas Homestead might be a bit central for all of us. Also, Giant Eagle will be having discount tickets again for Kennywood.

I am one that has not chimed in I suppose......
I would be into going but for me anytime in the summer is extremley difficult.

So I guess whatever you all come up with I will try to squeeze it in:thumbsup2 ! I would be very excited seeing where we all come from!

Any date and time work for me!!

Kennywood sounds like fun...but isnt that a little sac relig?:lmao:

Can't do August 4th. That is DH's 40th birthday and we'll be sunning in Jamaica. :goodvibes

I like the idea of Kennywood on the 25th of August. That can be done. Or a friday evening at Dave and Busters.

Let me know!

Okay, here's another question...
Would you all like for this to be an adults-only thing, or do you want the kids to tag along too??

For a day-meet at Kennywood, the kids would do okay, but at a restaurant or Kennywood at night, it might be hard for those with small children. Especially on a Friday night after a long week at school or for those that might be traveling a bit further.

August 25th is shaping up...

Anyone else who can't do that date???

Jo

My choice (adult only or family) would be: Family w/kids included.
If it is adult only I know I won't be able to attend because we have no child care. Plus it is Disney themed:woohoo:

Oh yea I think my DS would enjoy meeting other children that visit WDW and know the attractions. At school I try to sometimes tell him to keep the WDW vacation lowkey because some children will never have the chance to visit( with 5/6 yrs in K it could be a sensitive subject). I think he would be excited to go to a party for WDW fans.

I think something for families would be great but I would also be up for a Friday happy hour if anyone is interested ;) Not saying I would only do one or the other; I would actually be interested in both.

I think most schools will be back in session on August 27th, so August 25th might be difficult for a Kennywood day. We could probably make that day but it might be difficult.

August 25 would work for me if kids were included - childcare issues otherwise. Besides, I've been promising DD I'd take her back and show her where mommy & daddy met.

Friday the 25th of August would be GREAT! Plum marches that day in Fall Fantasy. :thumbsup2

BethR,
Friday is the 24th. Saturday is the 25th. Which day are they marching?

Jo

Here's an off the wall question...
Did anyone besides me go to the Mel Blount celebrity aution on Friday night besides me???

Jo

I would love to come but unfortunatly (well not really unfortunatly) we are leaving for WDW a week and 1/2 after and cant afford gas for 2 road trips in that short time frame. Besides Saturdays are out for the BF, work schedule thing. It is a 2 hour drive for us to Kennywood.

May I make a suggestion?
If enuf of you are going you may be eligible for discount tickets. At least still get in contact with them or the local paper. It is great publicity for the park that a group of Disney fanatics would like to experience thier park. It cant hurt to ask, who knows, you might get some perks not normally available. Worth a shot to ask.
Have fun y'all and say hi to Kenny Kangaroo for me.

Been watching this thread, but I can't really commit to a date because we are still working vacation plans for this summer (lol, yep we are way behind schedule with it)

I would love to meet everyone though...
