Hi all, just looking for any Pittsburgh disers. I am from the Buffalo area and will be flying out of Pittsburgh for our Aug trip. The airfare from Pitt was so much lower than Buffalo, even with travel expenses, that we decided to give this a try.

I need a little help, though....We are trying to decide where to park. We thought we would just use the extended lot at the airport and then I googled Pittsburgh air parking and found a couple of options. Has anyone out there used the Charlie Brown or Marino lot? What were your experiences? Or just any general advice would be more than welcome!!! :thumbsup2

TIA for any info anyone can share!! :)

Elizabeth

We are only about an hour away from the airport, but we always stay overnight at a hotel. We have stayed at he Crown Plaza and Red Roof and use the hotel's park and fly service.

I priced it out and it was only about $20 more than airport parking fees.

Hi, we live in Pittsburgh and we always use the parking spot. they are great--you can go online and get a coupon for 20% off or whatever they have. We used them when we went to Disney last November. As soon as you park the bus is there to pick you up to take you to the airport. It is covered, so you don't have to worry about your car being in the sun, etc. We did this since in November it can snow.

Once you arrive back from Disney, you call them and they will send the bus. they are minutes from the airport and we only had to wait for maybe 15minutes or less. I highly recommend them.

I know my friends use them too. Charlie Brown is way overpriced and my friends were not happy with the service.

Have a magical trip and enjoy our airport :)

I used to use Charlie Brown and they were fine, they park the car and pull it up for you when you return. I bought a new car at the end of December and have used The Parking Spot since because you park it yourself plus you don't have to worry about your seat being moved (this car is a pain to get it in the right spot). They are a little more expensive than Charlie Brown but they have coupons in the AAA newsletter.

Huh...I'm from Erie and always find airfare out of Buffalo cheaper...:confused3

We are a little south of Buffalo and have found deals at both Pittsburgh and Buffalo, so we fly out of both.

As to the OP, sorry I can't help, we used airport parking in Pittsburgh.

The Parking Spot.....used them with friends in December and would not hesitate to do so again. Google them and look for coupons on their website too.

We have used Globe parking many times in the past, they are fantastic! We have also gotten a great rate through Expedia or Priceline for the Embassy Suites near the airport, you can park your car there and they will drive you to the airport and pick you up for free.

Charlie Brown's very often will have coupons. Whenever I used to fly out of PIT, I'd use them.

Loved 'em in the wintertime, when they'd have your car warmed up and de-snowed, waiting for you!

We always use the Parking Spot. Not that it matters much now (we usually travel to Florida in the winter), but the indoor parking is really nice.
You can find coupons on their website and AAA usually has discounts also.

Have Fun!!!

Another recommendation for The Parking Spot. Used the coupon from the website and made a reservation online. Plus, they gave us bottles of water on the way out of the lot upon our return!

We've never had an issue using CB's:thumbsup2. I don't use the AAA discount any more, switched over to their frequent parker card. You receive 1 point for every $2 spent. After you earn 125 points you get a free week of parking. For us that's typically after 3 trips. Can't remember the specifics but believe when I switched over the AAA discount was $1 a day? I just enjoy getting that 'free' parking vs the immediate discount lol.

That said, we used the Hyatt at the airport last trip since we had such an early flight. Parking was pricey (even factoring the free days the package included onsite since you have to choose from the two more expensive onsite lots) but it's nice to be able to roll out of bed and walk over to terminal.

I have always used The Parking Spot for years although the name has changed a few times over those years. I always use couon from online or my entertainment book. Last August I got an excellent rate from my entertainment book for Charlie Browns on our trip to Disney and the service was great. I really like The Parking Spot because my car is under a roof and they pick you up at your car as soon as you are parked. Charlie Browns will load your suitcase right out front and send you on the shuttle and they park your car and have it running and ready to go when you arrive back. I have had excellent service on both. Very little wait to at the airport when I arrive back no matter what time of the day or night it is!
