digi camera? I have a Sony Cybershot 6.0mp and it takes great pics, but I just want to be sure I don't miss a thing on our trip!!

Do I need to reset any settings, ISO, balances, flash etc ...lol (and this camera does not have the fast/sport speed on it.... :(

Just being a little OCD..I totally miss my Canon Powershot (it died after 6 yrs)

thanks for any help you can give.

The majority of tips apply to all kinds of cameras... every camera, from the cheapest to the most expensive, depends on the juggling of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.

Quickie tips, I'd probably say leave it in Auto for most shots. For difficult shots, look for a scene mode that matches what you're trying to do. (Including fireworks, etc.) It may automatically go up to maximum ISO or you may have to manually set the highest ISO modes; these may help get a shot in very low light but you may find the noise levels to be unacceptable; try a few test shots ahead of time so you know what to expect.

As for white balance, it's probably not a bad idea to set it to Tungsten when indoors and you're not using the flash, but take a test shot first to make sure that it looks good. Generally, if your shot is very yellowy, go with Tungsten. If it's too blue, go back to Auto.
