Any pet friendly hotels?

We are looking to go to WDW in May. We have a small family dog that we will be taking with us. Anyone know of a great pet friendly hotel (I would prefer to stay in a hotel that has a shuttle to WDW)? maybe downtown Disney???

I cannot believe that Disney does not offer some pet friendly hotel rooms. Even if they offer them only at the cheap resorts it would be nice for those that do not want to board our dog.

I think the LaQuinta Lakeside would fit your needs. however the bus is very, very popular and has a long line - get in it early!!!

I would like to know where they are too so I do not book a pet friendly hotel. I just think of fleas etc that animals can bring and I do not want to pick them up at a hotel. I have a dog and love him to pieces but I do not want to sleep in a bed that somone else has let their dog share.

hopefully people who travel with their pets make sure that the animal has all its shots and NO fleas or ticks....

Spicey definitely does - he is allergic to fleas and his fur fallens out when he has a flea bite him.

I put frontline on him before I take him with me to WDW. If I am staying at a pet friendly hotel/timeshares he stays with me. Otherwise he is the pet kennel at FW.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites Lake Buena Vista with our dog and liked it. We also like the kennels ar Disney World, especially the kennel at Epcot since we can take advantage of the walking service for the first morning walk. Our chihuahua always did well there. I sometimes think it is the park music.
