Any perks to working The Disney store?

I noticed my local TDS is looking for part-time people and I wondered if there are any perks, I assume there is some sort of discount on TDS merchandise but any others???? Anyone know what they are like to work for?

Now that they are owned by Childrens place, I think its 30% off there and TDS. I havnt been a CM in a few years, but I think they still get tickets to the theme parks every 6 months or so?
Any current cm's out there that know all the details.

I am a former TDS CM and current WDW CM. I was still working at TDS when The Children's Place took over in November. All CMs get 30% at both TDS and TCP. There was talk about TCP buying another clothing store, but I'm not sure if that ever happened. There are a few of my former co-CMs that float around this board, so I'm sure they can answer that discount question.

I can however tell you what TDS CMs no longer get. Gone are the discounts at WDW. No hotel discounts, no discounts on passes and no free entry to the parks. TDS CMs can call in advance and get up to 3 passes a year to WDW, but that's it. They no longer get 2 passes every 6 months like we used to. Also, there are no discounts on merchandise in the parks and on disneydirect.com and no discounts on restauarants at WDW.

I'm sure that now TCP has had a little while to get things organized, there will be more perks within the company.

Hey Evil Queen..Yes as a cast member with the stores still Evil Queen is right to what it's like th be a cast member..but the perk is working at the store is seeing and sharing all the stories people have at Disney..and meeting and working with some great people. You can always try it and if you don't like it there is always other oppurtunities to work else where..but if u love the mouse u will love working in the store with a great cast.oh ya u cannot use your discount for other people if u do and get caught they can fire u immediately over that..so have fun and enjoy things for yourself
