We have found Disney transportation to be easy - even when we had young kids and a stroller. We drive down to Disney so we always have our car. But we still use Disney transportation more than half the time. It makes it easier for park hopping. We've found it makes MK much easier too.
We stayed at AKL when the kids were 2, 5, and 8. We were worried that the transportation would take too long being that far out. It wasn't an issue! Transportation was super easy!
As for dealing with the stroller and kids, we have one parent be in charge of the stroller and the other parent be in charge of the kids. Our youngest combo of three kids was 11 months, 3 years, and 6 years. And it was still easy. Our stroller was clunky, heavy, and hard to fold. But with one parent in charge if dealing with all that, it was easy.
*We love having a car to increase or eating options. We're also Sweet Tomatoes fans. Also, with kids, we never know what sort of mood they'll be in at dinner time. We planned dinner as we went. Sometimes, we ate in the parks, sometimes we went off-site, and other times, hubby went out to get something to bring back to the room. It also make it easier to go to the grocery store.
