Any other parents way too excited?

I'm so glad I found this thread... I'm not alone with my craziness! :) We leave Nov 1st and we are telling our 6 an 9 year old the day we leave. I'm beyond excited! We have a very busy month (birthdays and moving!) so now I'm worried I procrastinated on buying stuff for disney. I felt like I researched to the level of insanity and now I feel like it wasn't enough.

Does anyone else have extreme anxiety over someone getting sick right before you go? I keep reminding the kids to wash wash wash their hands. I just can't imagine how devastating that would be... So much planning, money and excitement. I know I shouldn't worry but it's driving me nuts!

Oh I am beyond worried about them getting sick. When we went two years ago they both got sick 5 days prior to going. Son had horrible cold that got in his chest and had to be on a nebulizer and DD had strep and ear infection. Thank god all was treated with meds so by travel day they were fine but man we had to take a lot of meds still. I am going to drench them in sanitizer every chance I get. Just sucks DD is in school now and DS goes to moms day out program so they are more likely to pick up something :( but as long as they are not not vomiting or admitted in the hospital for anything were going!!!!

Me! DH & I have been before, but this will our 2 girls first trip! I started planning last May for this coming May. We won't tell our girls until April, I can.not wait, they are going to be so excited!!!

Just got back, and the trips was just as magical as I was hoping it would be. The only
Issue was my 2 years old didn't comprehend we could re-ride everything like we did when going to Busch Gardens this summer. It was hard to explain that momma could only get one fastpass for SDMT after he absolutely loved it.

I hope all your vacations are as great as ours was!

Always excited to go back to the mouse’s house! More so than the kids I am sure because we get so much more out of the whole family experience. So excited to go back again this year. :cool1:

Our trip won't be until fall 2021, and I am already in the thick of planning for our two kids, one of whom is still in the womb! :p

It is such a long way and so expensive from Australia that we are unlikely to make it more than once, so we are waiting until both kids are old enough for all the big stuff but young enough for the magic. DD2 loves Disney. She actually got a Disney prize pack from a travel agency's colouring competition that included Mickey and Minnie stuffed toys (amongst a heap of other Disney Parks items). She has about 20 clear words, and Mickey and Minnie are 19 and 20! (Belle and Aurora are in there, too.)

I have huge Disney planning files and have started on a heap of DIY projects for the trip. I hope our kids are excited by the time we get to go, and in a way, I wish we could go sooner, but it is nearly 24 hours of planes, trains, automobiles and time zone upsets that will be hard even on our kids in 2021. But when DD2 squeals, claps and jumps to see Tink or the Disney logo, it is hard to be practical.

I am excited for them, and I have plenty of time to enjoy the planning process for the next 7 years. :rotfl:

So yes, you could say way too excited... :goodvibes

We took our then 20-month-old son last October and it made such an impression on him that he has been asking daily to go back for as long as I remember since then. Luckily for him, I booked a trip for a few weeks from now :-) I am sooooo excited because he will FREAK OUT as soon as we get on the "Mickey Bus" at the Orlando airport. It's going to be awesome!

I have been going crazy with waiting!! We aren't going until dec of 2015, but I already have pretty much every detail planned! I even have a weather widget on my phone set to orlando's weather :) I joined here because my husband is starting think I'm a little nutty lol

:rotfl: We're going Dec. 2015 too! DH thinks I'm a complete kook for planning so far in advance!

We are t minus 11 days and I am so excited! I can't talk about it in front of my children because they have no clue! So everyone else has had to hear about all of my planning, and things we are looking forward to! My dh is just as excited and we have nicknamed this trip "Texas". :hourglass

I'm not going for 2 years and I already have a spreadsheet with hotel and pricing options. I grew up going to Disneyland once a year and am dying that I can't do that with my kids, but we live on the east coast so it's not happening. A WDW trip will have to do!

I am very excited! All I want to do when I have downtime is plan, plan, plan!

I will have a 9 and 5 year old when we go. We're going next March/April and this is going to be either a Christmas or combined birthday gift, so for now they don't know.

I was on hold for a very long time yesterday and had it on speaker while I was playing a card game with DS. DS (the now-8 year old) was digging the music, kept trying to "see" the video. :goodvibes The CM came on the line and I couldn't get to the phone fast enough and DS heard "Walt Disney World" before I could get it and I lied! He was yelling- ARE WE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD over and over. I told him I had been on hold with the Disney store to find an Elsa doll for his sister. I felt a bit bad about lying, but I could not let the cat out of the bag so early!

I CAN'T WAIT!

Me! I'm making shirts.
Themed to the park. Coordinating subtly but not matching.

According to DD18, there's no such thing as going overboard when it comes to disney.!

We are a week away and I'm going crazy!!!! I want to tell my kids - especially DS5 - so badly I have to seriously check myself every day! I am hoping the next week flies by but I know it'll be even harder to keep quiet when I start (and hopefully finish) packing up this weekend.

LOL. Ours is "Idaho". :) I'm beyond excited as well. Pretty much all my free time is spent making lists. We leave in 24 days!

We use "Jamaica". Dh and I wwnt there last summer so when DS heard us talking about airfare we told him that we are going away for our anniversary. It makes it easy to start packing and shopping for the trip. 23 days!!!

Me!! We went in March for a conference and got to enjoy a few days with our daughter but had to book again right away for a longer stay! Going in January and hoping the weather will cooperate!
