Any other Olympics junkies out there?

I am looking forward to the Olympics and will miss my CFTO and CBC coverage since we got a dish. It was great watching the events when they happened rather than when NBC decided I should watch it. Plus, you get the lesser sports like Curling or the entire biathalon

I can't wait for them to start. It is great we get good coverage up here with CBC but we do have to listen to Brian Williams. Man I hope he doesn't do the "look what the newspaper headlines say" thing again. Give more time to Ron McLean.


The one thing I laugh at NBC (main network) for is there so called "live" coverage. Many of the events they were passing off as live at the last few Olympics, I had already watched on good old CBC.

Unplug the dish. Hook up the rabbit ears and point them north. CFTO won't give you anything, but CBC will give you all the coverage you want with the joy of watching Brian Williams repeatedly explaining the time differences from Torino across the Atlantic to Canada's 6 time zones.

My question is this -- will the American commentators mess up the name "Torino" in the same way they butchered "Lillehammer?" Trust me -- the Olympics never happened in a place called Lily-Hammer.
