Any other non-SSR owners anxious to try there?

It opens May 17th, and I think non-SSR owners can try to book starting on/about Feb. 1 (who knows if that's the date?). Anyone else planning to be on the phone then to try? I'm planning to try for one night 5/22 ASAP the morning ressies open for non-SSR owners. Anyone else trying this soon after it opens?

I'm looking forward to staying at SSR, but not right away. It will be interesting since there will be 4 buildings opening first?

We are chomping at the bit to stay at SSR, but it wont be for another year or two, since our next 4 DVC vacations are already in the works.....

Yes, I'm chomp-chompin'! Now for some reason, I have Feb. 4th marked on my calendar for my date to call... I wrote that down during a conversation with MS while making our ressies for August 2004. IS Feb 1 the actual date, or is it Feb 4th?

We have ressies for the wkend of 8/7-8 at BCV, then we move over to BWV for 8 nights. After that our guests are leaving and we thought we might move back to BCV for 3 nts in a 1br at BCV. I have been trying to convince DH to try SSR (IF we can get in...) for those 3 days. First of all, SSR has parking by the door (they do, don't they? Or at least, more like OKW, right?) THis would make our move from BWV to SSR pretty easy -- we could even consolidate and load 75% of our crap to the car, and then at the end of our 3 days only have a little bit of stuff to haul out. Secondly, we plan to spend our last 3 days enjoying DTD and the pool for 2 out of 3 days (very convenient!) It just seems like a neat idea! (Plus, twisted soul that I am, who normally stays in one resort and ONL one resort per trip), I like the idea of doing a triple crown between BCV, BWV, and SSR! It could make for some really neat comparisons! BUt... dh wants SAB, I think, and says we can "visit" SSR, but he would just as soon mosey back to BCV. (Mind you -- he has never stayed in BCV before, so I'm not sure where he's basing this preference on, and it's not like it's a location thing, because we could just as easily stay at BWV for that matter and not move at all!!) But I was quite surprised that he didn't want that option either (even though it would be less pts to stay in the std points at BWV!)

So to summarize -- yes, me me me -- I want to try SSR!

Oh yes, I want to stay at SSR too. I'm thinking about it for next fall's vacation. We all really liked the decor of the model and the pool looks really fun!

We are not sure - with the prime attraction being DTD and to some extent the pool, will wait for the DS's to become old enough to appreciate DTD (since they are 4yrs and 5 mths respectively this will be a long time)

We are trying to avoid paying the higher dues at BCV and then staying at resorts with lower dues unless we want the extra room size at OKW and the free valet parking at your front door - in that case, the dues difference is not so important to us

If the adults get to travel alone one year, then we would strongly consider SSR

Well, February 1, 2004 is a Sunday, so it's not very likely that 2/1/04 is the date. Doubt MS will open just for non-SSR owners to make reservations!

February 4th (a Wednesday), actually makes good sense to me, because Mondays and Tuesdays are purported to be busy days for MS. However, I don't know what the actual date will be. Guess those who want SSR reservations prior to September will just have to stay tuned.

Maybe you wrote down February 4th because you want to stay the night of September 3 (check out day 9/4/04). You still have to abide by the 7 month window rules if you are not an SSR owner.

I personally would like to try out SSR some day - we enjoy DD, but doubt we'll be ready until SSR is completely built out.

since the main advantage is DD/PI - I would if the main part of the trip would be at PI.

It would be nice to walk back from PI one night - yes I could from OKW too - but - I am not sure of that path in the dark parts -
