I just got his new album, 50 #1 Hits. It's great to see how his music has progressed through the years. My fave song is "Run." That is one beautiful song. He lives about 45 miles from my house.

What's your fave GS song?

Have you seen him in person?

Belong to his official fan club?

"Baby, run...cut a path across the blue skies...straight in a straight line, you can't get here fast enough...

Favorite song:
All My Exes Live in Texas
(I'm looking forward to singing that tomorrow night ;))

I saw him live in Milwaukee a couple years ago and he didn't play it :(.

I don't belong to anyone's fan club.

I love George!!! I haven't gotten his new CD yet

He has so many great songs but, my favorite would have to be " You look so good in love"

When we lived in Chicago I got to see him in concert.

Not a member of his fan club

George Strait is one of my all time favorite artists. Don't have his 50 #1 hits yet but that's what I asked DH to get me for Christmas.
My favorite song by him, I have a lot but my most favorite is Baby Blue. Such a beautiful song. I've seen him in concert two times but don't belong to his fan club.

There are so many good ones, but "I Just Want to Dance with You" is the one I'll pick.

No, I haven't seen him in concert, but I'm the only one of my extended family who hasn't. Not member of his fan club.

I've been married to my wife for almost 23 years and she still says there is only one man she would ever consider leaving me for and thats George Strait. We have seen him in concert about 10 or 12 times. Mostly at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo but several other times around Texas. When I was in college I used to go to visit friends at UT and SWT and we would wind up in Gruene or some Honky Tonk in the Hill Country and we probably saw the Ace in the Hole band 20 times before he became "George Strait and the Ace in the Hole Band" He used to pack the ladies into a club. This was in the late seventies and early eighties before he hit it big substituting for Eddie Rabbit at the Rodeo in about 1982. I loved his music back then and still listen to it today. Probably my favorite song of his is "Unwound" which was his first hit. Although my wife loves George Strait neither she nor I are in his official fan club but are definatly in his unofficial fan club.

I love me some George Strait! My favorite song is "Run" also.
I have never seen him in concert and don't belong to his fanclub, but I love him just the same. I can't wait to get the new cd.

BTW....your wife is so right! George is so nice looking and when he smiles!!! swoon!! haha

Not a member of the fan club but have a bunch of his CD's.

George Strait is my absolute favorite country singer. It almost feels like he is singing to you.

My favorite song is "Run".

Oh, George!!! **swoon**!!!

"Amarillo by Morning" still gives me goosebumps and takes me to another place.

"Fireman" is one of my all-time favorites, just a fun and rowdy, happy song. "Right or Wrong", "Unwound", it's hard to pick just one favorite!

Many nights of my misspent youth were wasted two-stepping, three-stepping and waltzing along with George, and whoever my "cowboy of the moment" was!

I saw him several times in the 80's- those perfectly creased Wranglers, the gentlemanly manners, those blue, blue eyes!!!

Another George fan here. I like "Amarillo By Morning" ...but there are so many to choose from.

I've been picking up that 50 song cd everytime I walk into a store and keep putting it down....one of these days I'm just gonna buy it!

Saw hime a few years back when he played Buffalo...the year of the Tim and Kenny arrest.

Another George Strait fan here! I like "Amarillo by Morning" and "Write this down". I saw him in 2003 in Austin, right before DH deployed.

My DMIL is a rabid George fan - so is my DH. I have to say his was the first country music I ever listened to. Many years ago when I met my DH I was a die hard rock and roller and would not stoop to listening to *gasp* country music....I bought the 50 greatest CD's so my DH ;) would have it to listen to in the car....:teeth:

My Dad (he passed away this year) was a hugh George Strait fan. I took him to Madison Square Garden twice to see George, Randy Travis, Alabama and the Judds.
Dad's favorite song was "All my Exes.
I like "I just want to dance with you".
No we were not members of his fan club.

Since my wedding song is "Cross my Heart", I'm going to say that's my favorite (but I love "I Just Want to Dance With You"

Are You Kidding??????There is no way I can pick just one song! Honestly he could sing humpty dumpty sat on the wall and it would make me swoon!
I saw him about 9 years ago in Dallas, right after my husband and I got engaged. I have not been back to see him, I think my husband is a little jealous!
I even bought George Straight shampoo and Conditioner at Wal-mart one year....several years ago, and never used it. It is still in my cabinet at home. If I use it I won't have it anymore!
I believe that God made Wranglers just for his rear end.......girls you know what I'm talkin' about!;) :earseek:

::yes::

 :smooth:

Just like coliebird my wedding song was Cross My Heart too. DH even recited a verse when he proposed to me.

I think we've seen George 2 or 3 times in concert.

I prefer his older stuff, a bit more traditional.

I love George Strait. As a fairly new country music fan (about a yr. and a 1/2) I'll pick Carrying Your Love With Me. I love that song and in the video he does seem to be singing directly to me. :lovestruc Oh and by the way, he is a hottie.

I love George! Have seen him in concert 3 times. My fav song is "Baby's Gotten Good at Good-bye".

jimmiej - I tubed down a river in New Braunfels once, very fun! My sis lives on Lake Travis in Pointe Venture, I don't think it's too far from you.
