Any other DISers trying to concieve? Reread OP for the QOTD!

I believe my doctor wants 4 follicles as well...which I totally understand...especially since I paid $8000. I can't afford more than 1 shot at this...I want the best possible odds as I can get. I started lupron after being on BCP for 3 weeks...did 10 units daily, then got AF then started the stims while continuing lupron as well at 5 units. So I still wonder if I was over-suppressed. Since we have MF issues..I can't see how an IUI would work....I think I will try another doctor within the practice...I wasn't too wild about this guy.

Kristine- i agree, maybe it is best they do an IUI. I think most docs want like 4 good follies for IVF. did you do lupron this time? I can't remember. perhaps you are right and you were 'oversuppressed', i felt that way too. i felt if i had stopped the lupron sooner, i would have responded better to the stims. they had me on the lupron while i was doing the stims, i guess to make sure i didn't overstim. i think the first cycle or two is all about just 'guessing' and trying to see how your body reacts and from there, each cycle they can better adjust your doses and meds.

No...this is our first try at any of this...but since we have MF issues..I am not feeling too confident.

Kristine... Sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Have you tried IUI before?

Kristine, maybe you do need a new doctor with a new approach if you think the one you have just isn't working out. Many doctors approach things differently, especially with infertility. At least that's what I've gathering just from reading on here! My appt isn't until August so I'm not sure what my OB/GYN's method will be yet.

Back from the doctor...

1 at 18, the other at 14. The other 2 not growing. I told the nurse that I want to go IUI. She said the doctor would still consider iVF with only 2 follicles...which I am not comfortable with. So now I wait for the doctor to call.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement! I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday and have my confidence back as well. Probably due to the full night's rest I finally got last night

DH and I agreed that we will wait until next week to try the test again. I'll find out either by an OTC test or by a vist to my OB/GYN no later than next month. I just need to be patient. I should have definate results by then.

Well, my OB/GYN's office called today and my appt has been moved back a week! Ugh! So now I go on Aug 10 until of Aug 2. They didn't have anything earlier. I'm so bummed!

Sitting here waiting to go. Bill decided to go do his "thing" at the doctor's office... Apparently, there was 1 room...and a line of guys!! How awful....but he's done.

FF showed my O day as CD19. Today is CD22. So now it's just a waiting game. After TTC for so long, I'm not really getting my hopes up for anything anymore. Now it's more like just waiting around until my August 10th appt. So I guess we'll see. At least I have our trip to Dallas for the wedding to take my mind off of the 2ww.

Today we had DS's 4th birthday party. He had a blast running around with all of the kids! He really had a great day. Tomorrow I think we may try to catch Ratatouille or however you spell it!

If you do go see Ratatouille let me know what you think. I can't decide if I want to see it or not. I was only okay with Cars, not my favorite so I don't hold near as much hope for Ratatouille
