I used to have cramps in one side after the first day of iui they would give me a paper with symptoms to expect. We are going in April

Schmoogirl- if you do have a lot of follicles- converting to IVF is an option. it all just depends on your doc and if he/she supports that idea. does your insurance cover IVF? if so, then i would think going for it would be good. otherwise, some docs will cancel your IUI cycle if you have too many follies. heck, that couple on the TLC channel now with the set of 6 and a set of twins had the setuplets from an IUI!!! many docs are scared by that proposition if you have too many follies. so yeah, IVF would be a possibility.

That is good to know. I am going in tomorrow morning for monitoring, so I will ask them about it.

We are so lucky that we have AWESOME insurance. They actually pay all but our co-pays for infertility. Not unlimited, but enough.

Oh gosh. I don't even think that I want twins, let alone 6! YIKES! :)

Sorry about that, DPO=Days Past Ovulation. However if your cycles are usually that short, I would just keep trying and if on next Monday you don't have a BFP go in for a blood test at your doc if you can!

Thanks.

Well it's now 6/27 and the last time I got AF was 5/27 and ended on 6/2 (AF usually ends on day 5 or 6 instead of day 7). I should be starting to wind down on AF if I had it like I was scheduled to. But since I haven't had it, I'm happy :) . It's a very good sign that I'm already pregnant with #2 :goodvibes .

I'm going grocery shopping this evening and will be picking up another test. By this point, there should be enough pregnancy hormones in me to be detected. I'll test tomorrow as soon as I get up.

Gurgi - did the powers that be take your siggy?????????

Cbyrktn- how long is your cycle normally? I am assuming if you were supposed to be winding down now, you were expecting your period on the 22nd or so? Which would have made your cycle around 26 days? +++ for you when you test!

Right. I was expecting it on Saturday the 23rd since I had AF last time on Sunday, 5/27. I calculated that I would have AF during my birthday, which was the 24th. So far no AF and no sign of it starting anytime soon !

I went to babycenter.com to check my "pregnancy" calendar and it said that I would be able to test on the 26th (yesterday). So looks like I'm over that "hump" and the good old pregnancy hormone should be detected by the test now <please, please please>.

I would love to find out that it's positive so I can finally call my parents and let them know as well as my FIL.

I'll let everyone know the results tomorrow afternoon.

Well, my OBGYN has referred me to an RE. I might have to have another lap to see if the endo is back and interfering with my tubes again. Sigh.

I usually see her (my doc) at a different office, but the office I went to this time was VERY babycentric. There were pregnant ladies everywhere and pictures of babies everywhere and one woman even brought her baby into the office! Babies, babies everywhere and not a one for me :(

Yup...my tentacles story smacked me with 50 points :(

Gurgi...what do you mean you received points? I'm confused!

Sue...Good luck with the RE. I'm sorry you had to go to the office full of babies! It's so hard, I know. I think the worst part of my chemical pregnancy was sitting in the ultrasound waiting room, waiting to confirm that there was no baby, while other couples sat in the room excited to find out the sex of their baby. That was SO hard! I'm dreading going for my annual in August because of all of the pregnant people.

cybrkitn...good luck. You sound pretty confident!

Rebecca...I hope you are feeling better today. When do you go back to the doctor?

Hello all!

I had another visit with my Doc today and he said things are going slow but moving along. He's raising my Gonal-F to 75 and I'll go back in on Sunday.
Hopefully something will come of it!

Hi ladies...

No good news from me. After 5 days on the meds, looks like I have 1 follicle at 11, 1 at 15...the other 3 still small. I have a feeling they will go for an IUI. At this point I almost prefer it...I am hoping with a different protocol that maybe I could have more follicles to start with. I wonder if I was over-suppressed?

Hope all of you are well!

:sad1: I tested again this morning and it's still negative. I just don't understand this. I had intense cramps last week then it went away for one day and since then have only had very light cramps. Still no sign of AF :confused3

Three negatives :sad2: . Am I testing too early? Everything that I'm seeing is telling me I'm pregnant. Yet the tests are coming back as "not pregnant".

Looks like next week, I'll most likely be making a gyn appointment to see what's going on. I'm almost afraid of doing another test in a few days.

ETA: I'm not going to be on much today. Got a lot of work that needs to be done. If I catch up, I'll be on.

It could still be too early, possibly. What brand of test are you using? I wonder if it is a chemical pregnancy, or an early miscarriage. But even then, I am surprised you have not gotten AF. I think if you have not gotten your period by early next week, and still no BFP, you should see your doctor, since you are so regular, and you have been trying. Very strange, indeed.

I've tried First Response in the past and last Saturday. On Sunday I used the EPT digital test and tested again using the EPT non-digital. EPT was what I used when we found out we were having DS5.

I'm most likely going to call my gyn next week to make an appointment. This is definately not like me to have missed AF and not be pregnant. Of course, this is also depressing a bit, too, and I was crying this morning.

Cybrkitn--I know how frusterating this is for you as this is what happened to me last month. I took 4 or 5 tests and they all kept coming back neg. I tried really hard not to get my hopes up. When I called my doc, they didn't seem overly concerned and said it isn't unusual to skip a cycle every and then. I got AF three days later. But I would def. call and tell your doc what is up. In the meantime I will keep my hopes up for you.

cybr- i would definitely make an appt with your GYN, have them do a bloodtest or maybe an u/s.

Rebecca- the cramping is all completely normal. i always had cramping on and off after my IUIs, sometimes for a week or longer.

Sue- hugs to you. how long ago was your last lap?

Kristine- i agree, maybe it is best they do an IUI. I think most docs want like 4 good follies for IVF. did you do lupron this time? I can't remember. perhaps you are right and you were 'oversuppressed', i felt that way too. i felt if i had stopped the lupron sooner, i would have responded better to the stims. they had me on the lupron while i was doing the stims, i guess to make sure i didn't overstim. i think the first cycle or two is all about just 'guessing' and trying to see how your body reacts and from there, each cycle they can better adjust your doses and meds.

schmoogirl- awesome on your insurance. i am so so glad some women have great insurance and don't have to worry/stress about the finances with infertility. it is hard enough as it is to get through without having the strain of figuring out how to pay for it. so that is great!!!!

cyber-I'm so sorry but don't give up hope till the hag shows.

Lisa-Thanks for the info. My Dr. was gone so I had a different guy do the procedure. It was kinda a "wham, bam, thank you mam" with no info on what to expect. Oh well.

Allison-I'm feeling better thanks :) I had a few more twinges yesterday. How are you doing?? Where are you in your cycle?

Michelle-Thanks for the info. I really have not had cramping...just twinges...kinda strange feeling. I'm only 6dpiui do I don't put alot of stock in them pointing to something positive but who know. So how are you feeling these days?

Cyber...I'm sorry you didn't get a BFP this morning. It's so hard when you really think that you'll get and then there a BFN.

Rebecca...Today is CD20 for me. My temp shot up today so I definitely O'd recently. FF hasn't showed it yet, but I know it's coming since my temp was really high this morning. I'm thinking I probably O'd around CD18 or 19. I'm SO happy that my temp spiked! The "hard" party of this cycle is over so now I can relax! No more worrying about BDing. Now, I can just enjoy DS's party this weekend, enjoy the 4th, and enjoy the wedding next weekend. :) I will definitely be having a glass or two of wine at the wedding! Now, if AF shows up, I may change that to screwdrivers. ;) LOL!

Kristine... Sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Have you tried IUI before?

Well, I am back from Orlando. Wow, was it hot down there. I did not have any time to see the the statues so the plan is to see them in October.

Allison - have a great fourth and enjoy DS birthday and have fun at the wedding!

DisneyDreamer8 - Fingers crossed for you!

Cybr - Hopefully you will get that BFP!

Kristine - Good luck with the IUI.

Gurgi - I don't know much about points, but sorry that whatever you said was banned. I would have liked to read the story!

GypsySue - Good luck with the RE.

Well, after tomorrow morning I will be offline until July 8th. We are headed to Hilton Head - no computers, no work cell phone! Hopefully I will come back to a bunch of BFP's! DH and I are planning on me trying metformin when we get back from our trip.
