Meredith: I am so excited everything is moving along for you! Your DH sounds just like mine;). Keep us updated.

WDWAurora: My doc told me the same thing as Allison. I opted for the grocery store brand instead of the Stuart brand. $5.00 vs. $25.00:eek: I think they work. My stomach had not been overly bothered by them and my hair and nails have never looked better.

Bethany: Thank you!!! That's a great web site. I have been hording my OPKs b/c they are so expensive, and I had read the lubricants were harmful and had stopped using them. I just made an order. Yeah!!!!!

I'm so glad everyone is having luck with their doctor's appts. It always helps to get answers. Have a great day! :goodvibes

I hate seeing all the broken hearts month after month. The pain is still so fresh for me. ((((hugs)))) to you all. I know the wait seems FOREVER, but you will all be holding your sweet babe in your arms before you know it.

I know Nicole and Michelle and Carla probably felt they would never see the day a test would ring +++ for them, and look where they are! Faith gets you through. Even on the darkest days, keep the belief that you WILL be a momma some day. Your path may be rocky, but the destination is so worth it. And when you hold your little one, you will realize the heartache and frustrations were more than worth it..

Carla - I am so sorry you bombed the 1 hour. I did too - I had a 177 this time around. They put me straight to GD diet, which did nothing for my fasting sugars. I am now on insulin. I know it sucks to have your body mess with you, but don't feel bad. The insulin isn't bad, and you are doing what is best for your little girl. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. She will be here before you know it, and all these frustrations and such will be behind you. Trust me - after 3am feedings, the last thing on your mind is the insulin you had to take :). You are doing a great job and I cannot wait to hear all about little miss!

I had my 37 week checkup yesterday. BP was high - so it looks like Mr. is coming next week! I was scheduled for a 4/9 c/s, but she has penciled me in now for a 3/30 one. EEEEEEK! Panic mode. I wil keep ya'll updated...

Minnesota! Wow ... so quick huh? I am getting nervous as well ... it seems to have snuck up on me! Good Luck ... Keep us posted! :-)

Hey Ladies :goodvibes

I'm not sure where everyone is in their cycles so I will just put out a blanket

to you all!!!!!

Tonight will be day 3 of clomid...so far so good...just really tired and a little cranky.

Best of luck to those who are about to deliver. I hope your babies have a smooth entrance and are healthy. Please let us know how things go when you get the time

Thanks for the info on vitamins. I'm going to see what the Dr. says when I go on the 2nd. I'm thinking she'll say to go OTC like you guys are saying until the BFP (see? I promise I lurk-I know the lingo). This has just been really stressing me because I feel like there are things I should be doing now to prepare. I am trying to get more fit-Yoga Booty Ballet baby!!

I'm Courtney, btw.

Hi :wave2:

I'm not quite ready to join you guys yet since we won't be TTC for a few more months, but I have a question I was hoping you could help me with. For those of you that were on the pill, how long did it take for your cycles to get back to normal? I just took my last pill on Saturday (after being on it for a decade) and I'm not sure what to expect.

Thanks and good luck to all of you :wizard:

Princess Pooh, I have heard it can take 6 months, on average, for your cycles to regulate but it is different for everyone. I went off the pill in June 2004 and my cycles were normal from the get go. Nothing changed for me. We simply used condoms for about 2 months until we were 100% ready to begin the whole ttc process. We started officially ttc in August 2004 and our dd was born May 2005. No problems. The pregnancy was a little rough but we were blessed and got pregnant pretty quickly.

We are thinking of beginning the whole "ttc our 2nd" process around Aug. of this year (maybe) and I am praying that we will be just as lucky this next time. I am planning to do things pretty much the same as last time...go off the pill this June and start officially trying in Aug. It may not go nearly as smoothly as last time but we will go from there. You also should begin taking a prenatal vitamin now if you aren't already. HTH!

Minnesota! OMG, I didn't realize you were so close! I remember how much you went through to stay pregnant and I am so happy you are almost holding your 2nd miracle baby! I can't wait to see some pics! Good luck!

I was only on the pill for 13 cycles, but, I went off in early November, had a pill period and 3 weeks late had a regular period. Then I got pregnant. My Dr. told me it would take a few months (we weren't going to start TTC until Jan.). I have another friend that did the same thing and she got pregnant right away too.

Courtney-my Dr. put me on perscription pre-natals in October when I told him we wanted to start trying in January.

We're in about the same place. I'm on my last week of pills now, but we're not trying till the fall. I've been lurking on here, and posting occasionally. It's good to read all the info here-it's really helped me feel more comfortable with everything, and it's just a good source of info that I hadn't thought about!

I went off of BCP last June. My first few cycles afterward were around 28 days, just like when I was on BCP, then they started getting longer...around 30-33. THe past two cycles were 28 days, so I'm thinking maybe I'm back to normal now. I don't know. I'm frustrated with this whole process so I"m not sure!

Just popping in to say a big CONGRATULATIONS :dance3: to the recent BFP's and also know that I am thinking of all of you TTC and lurk here all the time to catch up and see how everyone is doing! :goodvibes Babydust to everyone!!pixiedust:

Just FYI....I was on the pill for almost 14 years when I stopped taking it in February of 2006. I got my period as I should after about a 30 day cycle, and I thought all was well. A few months later, after not feeling well, and having excessive side pain, I was told I had a large ovarian cyst on my right ovary. Luckily, it went away on its own....my OB just said that the overload of hormones and my body trying to regulate them had caused the cyst. We started TTC in June, and I got my BFP in November 2006. So...it may take a while for your body to get back on track, but it will happen! I think it is just different for everyone!

Best wishes to you all....I hope Spring brings flowers :flower3: and BFP's for everyone!!!! :grouphug:

Great, thanks!!!

I just hope it doesn't take 8 months to get my cycles regular again :scared1:

Princess Pooh - I think it really varies widely from person to person as to how long it will take for your cycles to become normal. And what's normal varies from person to person. Mine never regulated (I have PCOS). But there are some people who get PG on their first cycle. Try not to stress about it in the beginning, but do chart - if you think it will help - to help you figure out when and if you are ovulating.

Hi Lovely Ladies:

Ultrasound was today and it went great!!

There is one healthy little peanut growing in there -- it is measuring at 7 weeks 1 day which is exactly where I am today. We got to see and hear the heartbeat - which was 155 beat per minute - it was just so cool!

My estimated due date is November 6, 2007!

As you know - we transferred 2 embroyos and the other one did in fact implant and tried to grow - it was there today as well but it was only measuring at 5 weeks with just a flicker of a heartbeat. The doctor has told us the second one is not viable - it has stopped growing. It will reasorb naturally back into my body.

We are so blessed to have this one healthy little one growing and doing great -- I could not be happier!

Thanks to everyone for your continued love and support!

Hugs,
Nicole

PS: ta da da dum....introducing...my long awaited - long dreamed of - hard earned - new ticker...

Oh Nicole...it just looks wonderful!! :goodvibes

Okay...seriously...y'all are not going to believe this. I swear y'all, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. So I'm sitting in my office today. One of my coworkers comes in to chat about an upcoming project. She then mentions that she's been feeling nauseated and can't remember the last time she's felt that way. She then tells me that I have permission to kill her husband if she's pregnant because he had a vasectomy!! I just didn't know what to say...I was just thinking, you have got to be kidding me! If she is pregnant, I think I'm giving up! I can only take so much and this would just be too much for me, I think!

YEA NICOLE!

I can't wait to have one of those! A ticker that is. I'm hoping soon! VERY soon! Would love to conceive the month of our anniversary May...or even sooner! G-d willing! :)

Allison You sound just like me which is the reason we have just given up. Is having one child so bad. Shouldn't we just feel blessed with Diana. It is so hard when people arround you get pregnant. I had a friend who had a miscarriage right before I got pregnant with Diana. I was so affraid to tell her Mom. We ahve gone through so much trying to have another baby and sometimes I either feel I am too old (almost 39) or too much of an age difference Diana will be 8.

On another note Congrats to you Nicole I seemed like yesterday you were talking about egg donors.

Lisa, I go through those feelings all the time, especially on this thread. When I see so many struggling for their first, I feel like I should just shut up and be thankful that we at least have DS. I'm an only, so I REALLY don't want DS to grow up as an only. Being an only never bothered me much as a child, but as an adult, it's been harder. The age difference thing weighs heavily on my mind as well. DS will be 4 this summer, so we still have some time...but I know my "deadline" will be here before I know it. I just hope I'm pregnant by then!
